It Was Simple

Trainer Needleman aka “The Old Emit'” has been away from the sim for 5 years now and he seems to have jumped back right in where he left off.

Needleman sent the 8 year old son of Hansel to the thick blades of grass in Alabama this past week end fresh of a 5 year vacation.

Starting from post Simple Man named after the famed song by Lynard Skynard Simple Man broke 4th from the gate. Stalking the pace setters for 6 furlongs and springing to the lead around the final turn Simple Man never looked back after clearing the leaders in a time of 1:50 3/5.

Bringing home the winners share of the purse and a fine speed rating on the 9 furlongs of firm turf of 89 Simple Man proved to the world 5 years away he and trainer Needleman haven’t lost their touch.

Walking from the winners circle Needleman said ” This is the only horse that was held over from the 5 year break. We quit with him off a win and he got right back to winning when he comes back. Amazing!”
