Snapshots

Dixie isn’t the loudest talker on the block – in fact some of you may not ever have heard of him – but he is one of the best trainers in the Sim.  Year after year his stables turn out good horses, and I mean some really good horses.  If they don’t perform to his expectations, well…. you can find some of those really nice ones in the auction.  He’s awfully good at winning and of his 11 stables, most have won over 300 races.  He is active in his residency, Pastures Of Green,  and sponsers the Freshman Sires contest there every year.  Here is Dixie’s snapshot.

First name?

Steve

How long have you been in the Sim?

About 9 years.  I believe my first week was 467.

Favorite food?

Any kind of Italian food

Neither.  But if I had to choose, it’d be a dog.  I’m allergic to cats.  :

If you were to take a solo road trip which would you rather drive – a convertible or a motorhome?

Motorhome…  gotta be comfortable.

Hobby – other than horseracing?

Almost any kind of sports, but specifically baseball and hockey.  I’m a partial season-ticket holder to the Angels, and full season ticket holder to the Ducks.  I also try to make it to as many UCI basketball games as possible.

Favorite band or singer?

No real favorite.  I listen to all kinds of music, except rap.  Rock, country, alternative, pop, anything goes.

Last book you read?

Jeez…  probably something in high school.  No joke.  I don’t do books.  lol…

What’s playing in your cd player or Ipod right now?

Believe it or not, I don’t own either.  Even my car doesn’t have a CD player.

If you were stuck in a hospital room for 6 months and could chose one person, past or present, other than husband/wife, relative or in-law, to be in the bed next to you – who would it be?

If you’re going to be stuck with someone for that long, they better have something interesting to say.  So I’d say some sort of sports writer or historian.

If you were to take a day trip in your area – where would you go?

Whichever local racetrack is running.

Favorite real life racehorse?

Currently, Curlin.  From the past, Cigar and Pleasantly Perfect.

If you could meet one person in the Sim – who would it be?

Lots of great people I’ve gotten to know through the sim, but if I had to choose one, it’d probably be Steve/flagdown.
