Flurry Stakes

Flurry Stakes Grade III

7 furlongs

on the Fast Dirt Course
$150,000
3 years old Fillies and Mares

Small field to contest grade III.

1 Orogeny(TUR)                      VERYWIDE                                           R Heenan(16%)                  3/1

Starts: 7—5-1-1        Track: 0—0-0-0       Distance: 3—2-1-0        Dirt: 7—5-1-1 Earnings: $162,920

Talented filly who has done nothing wrong in seven starts to date, Her last run she fell in to beat a small field of hoses who would be long odds in this race. Small field helps here again and is sure to get a good run in transit. Stable has never had a runner finish in the money in a graded race, her most impressive win came in the FLY SEEKER CHALLENGE  where she raced away for a 3 and a half length win.

2 Gigantic Hope(KY)               3RDTRY                                                  K Wakeman(4%)                 3/1

Starts: 10—4-2-1        Track: 0—0-0-0       Distance: 3—1-0-1        Dirt: 9—4-2-1 Earnings: $141,805

Was hitting the line well last run over 6F in the WARFARE FARM STAKES so the step back up to 7F will be a help, her speed ratings have been improving with every run and doesn’t have to improve much more to be a chance to get the money today, The query I have is  the jockey, K Wakeman has not been riding too well lately and may get outsmarted in the small field.

3 Bahama Breeze(KY)           TOPICOUNT4                                    P Dylan(16%)                       5/2

Starts: 8—2-3-0        Track: 1—1-0-0       Distance: 0—0-0-0       Dirt: 7—2-3-0 Earnings: $100,740

Has raced beyond 7F at all her starts to date but judging by her first two runs looks to have a bit of early speed so should settle just behind the leader, the worry is she hasn’t won since November last year but her last two starts have been a real improvement and has won at this track which is a real big advantage, her last run she was run down over the last little bit in the EL DINGA CHALLENGE over 7.5F and a repeat of that run will see her in the finish

4 Saracen(KY)                           DIXIEDOTCO                                                N Linville(23%)                 Evens

Starts: 10—4-3-1        Track: 0—0-0-0       Distance: 1–1-0-0        Dirt: 9—4-3-0 Earnings: $625,250

Outstanding win last time in the HELLO MOMMA SPECIAL G1 over this distance and should just about win this on that run, In that run she did beat a quality field where every runner was a Graded winner or stakes winner. She is the class runner of the field and with top jockey and very astute trainer logic says she will just win.

Conclusion

I think 4 SARACEN  should win I feel she has the class and will win a lot more Graded races in the future, I’ve put in 3 BAHAMA BREEZE  with  2 GIGANTIC HOPE for third
