He has raced 15 times for 9 wins and 4 seconds one of his few failures was at this distance some time ago but it must be a bit of a worry to his trainer. His last 8 starts have produced 100+ sp’s and this all adds up to a pretty respectable package and he now seems ready to take on graded company. From this draw he should be able to drop in behind leaders and be ready to unleash in stretch.

The slightly off track should not effect his chances either . He has won 7 from 29 and won 2 from 4 on off tracks . He is also likely to race handy to the pace and kick on in stretch.

Three starts ago he won a stakes race over this journey on an off track it it may be here we get our pointer to his chances in this. Likely to run just off leaders he may get home well in the finish.

AWESOME AGAIN colt who has raced 13 times for 5 wins has been in the hunt in his 3 graded runs and nice closing 2^nd over a mile in G11 company 2 starts ago. From the small but very successful barn of SPQR Stables his last run 3^rd over this journey in a 113sp at G111 suggest a grade win is not far away. Will get back in field and close late look for him when the whips are cracking.

May not be far off pace all the way and look to kick clear early in stretch.

Another miler hoping to last that extra ½ a furlong and take glory in this. He has been placed in G1 company so should not be taken lightly in this. May try to crose and lead in this field and hope to run sprint out of those behind him.

A son of the mighty STORM CAT this 5yrold has won 6 from 19 but has mainly been kept to allowance racing 3 starts ago marked the start of his quest for stakes honours. He has not feared badly in these endeavours and he was a nice 3^rd last time out in the wet over 9f in 109sp. He is trained by PEDRO’S RACING EMPIRE and the trainer has placed him well to date and may just have pick the right time for a grade run. Seem to get a little further back in field last time and it worked from this draw his jockey may opt for similar run.

Another at longer odds this one is trained by Devineequi Stables his dam ALYNAPA RECORD was a pretty good performer and recorded 2 stakes wins in her career. This is by far her best performed runner he is a Graded stakes winner and has won $ 1.5 million to date . Doesn’t seem to mind wet tracks with 2 placing early in career . Front runner who will need some luck in running to get there from this draw.

The mighty More Evil Than The Evil Empire! gives us their offering in this race a strapping 5yrold horse by WAR CHANT he won G3 Eclipse Stakes over this distance in 112sp and 2 starts ago won a G2 mile in 112sp he has won 5 and over $1 million he has won in the wet so that’s no problem. These trainers know how to win big races and this horse looks as good a chance as any in the race. Seems to race handy over this distance and it maybe a dog fight at the front of the field early.

Chilcoat Stables offers this 6 yrold blueblood from the STORM CAT mare MISS MAMA she has also left the stakes winner SERVILE SERVAL(KY) the ruling favourite for this race . There is no arguing that this is the horse to beat he is one of the rare group of horses in this game who has won over $3 million and has won 14 races . A deep closer he has produced some phenomenal runs to victory non more so than his last start win in the G1 Delaware Mile in a whopping 121sp running the mile in 1:32 4/5 a monster of a time. What beats this horse wins the race. He is a horse worth going a long way to see so make sure you at least watch the replay of this.

This fellows recent racing has been over longer distances than this race he has raced in G1 company and has never been far away tending to get headed in last furlong . He has only raced over this distance twice for two wins in allowance company some 18 starts ago a lot stronger now it will be interesting if a return to this winning distance will produce the improvement needed to secure a win. Ultra consistent he may get the cash at nice odds. Trainer Twoofus Stables will be hoping the drop back in distance does the trick.

This horse has won 11 race no mean feat for any horse. He has also performed well on off tracks with three wins and four placing and may well be the most accomplished wet track runner in the field and on the alone may deserve respect. He is going to drop out of early speed dual and power home late.

We come to the last runner in the field a 4yrold trained by Casino Stables . He is a graded winner and has won on wet track. As the winner of 6 from 20 and won at this distance in G11 company it not the least of chances a mid field runner . He has been running on stoutly in recent racing and only adds to the puzzle of selecting the winner here.
