H Ross

5/2

Bred to a “D” rated mare, this colt has already won and placed in graded races.  He’s just one of the many potential stars of the super consortium.  Colt has the breeding to go a distance, but probably will need to mature a bit.  Right now sprints are better suited for this youngster.  Sire Dansili is starting to make a name for himself in the sim, especially in the turf division.  Look for a late run come stretch time.  Ross is a big plus.

Bred to a “G” rated mare that has produced a graded winner and stakes placed progeny.  However, she was a dirt runner as well as her successful progeny.  This colt’s last race can be thrown out as a too aggressive move by trainer.  One can understand the excitement that must have occurred when the colt produced a big SP in its previous race.  Let’s hope the colt’s poor showing in last was a “bounce” and not a set back of sorts.  Depending on his performance in this, a dirt try should be in his future.

First progeny of a “G” rated mare.  First year sire hasn’t produced too well to date.  This colt is one of the better runners.  Colt ran 3rd in last stakes due to the trainer finding a 4 horse race (to his/her credit).  This event will be much tougher.  Colt will need to stay close to have a chance.

First progeny of a “G” rated mare.  Colt seems to be comfortable on dirt or turf.  His last race was an eye opener on the grass.  Running to an SP85 will do that J  Although this is the colt’s first try at a stakes event, he shouldn’t be too intimidated.   He never seems to get a decent jockey in the irons and this is no exception.  He still should be in the mix at the wire.

Everyone’s dream bargain bred!  Four starts with 2 wins and 2 thirds to date.  Now here he is trying to knock off the big boys in a stake’s race.  Have to believe the CPU had a brain fart when setting the odds.  With jock Silver in the irons, this colt should give most of these a run for the money.  Certainly worth a wager.

Big bucks scratch bred here.  Colt ran a disappointing 3rd in last.  A 4 horse field and had the lead in the stretch.  However, he didn’t lose to a slug.  Colt will need that same desire here to be on top.  Lousy jock was a factor in that last race…not a factor in this, as Ironside will improve chances.  This colt will become much better as a 3yo.  Kingmambo’s progeny usually do.

My picks to date haven’t faired too well L  Rev’s exacta box = 1,4 w 1,4,5,6
