Starting for the first time this colt is sired by FuPeg and is out of a “G” rated mare available to all.  Said mare only had four lifetime races, so it is hard to determine her preferences.  Because of the colts sire, the CPU lists favorable odds.  FuPeg has a strike rate of 18.5% with 2yos to date; one being a stakes victory, and that alone rates attention.

Here’s a 2yo that gets no respect.  The colt has run three races and has a win, place, and show for its efforts.  Broke its maiden last out with a SP72 and has juicy odds.  The colt is out of an “F” rated mare that won as a 2yo.  This colt is precocious and should give a good account.

Scratch bred colt that broke maiden in his one and only race to date.  Sired by Danehill Dancer who has a credible 25.8% win rate for 2yos.  Although the sire produces mainly turf runners, this colt proved to be the exception to the rule.  That alone should remind us to test our horses at various distances and surfaces before giving up on them.  Listed as the favorite in this; he should give the field all it wants.

Jockey Ross, who has regained his top jock status; gets the call on this colt.  Although the longest shot in the field, he is bred to a mare that has produced three stakes quality horses in the past.  Last year’s crop by sire Harlan’s Holiday was productive, while this year’s crop to date is 0 for 19.  The colt will need to really improve to be a factor in this.

One of the two fillies in this event.  She is the first out of a “D” rated turf fanatic mareJ  Sired by the infamous Gone West, who throws dirt and turf runners and has a 25.8% win rate this year.  She has raced twice with a 3rd and win in her last.  Her winning effort   Not to detract from her win, she may have a little problem in this unless she improves her SP.  She appears to have a ton of “green” blood in her if this doesn’t work out.

The second of the two fillies in this event.  She is out of an ”E” rated mare that has produced two other decent runners to date.  Afleet is a bona fide sire of dirt sprinters with a 20% strike rate for this year’s crop.  She is certainly and overlay in this as attested by her maiden win at N.Y. in last.  Ironside should give her a very good ride and be in the photo.

Out of an under achieving mare that has royal blood, this colt has one of the hottest 2yo sires in the sim right now.  Victory Gallop has produced a 2007 2yo strike rate of 44.4% !!  The sire is about even statistically on grass or dirt with a preference for distance.  The colt broke his maiden 1st try last time out  in a four horse field.  Although not an impressive victory, a win is a win.  Probably won’t do much here unless improvement is made in SP.  However, when races are upped to a mile, he may produce some nice figures.

Time to stick foot in mouth…ex. box = 2,3,6
