Only six runners for todays Setanta Stakes over 8.5f on the firm turf course and they all have a chance to get the win.
WESTERN CZAR (RED RANSOM x GONE WEST x WASSL(GB))
Has been running mostly in allowances at around this trip but has looked as though he want’s dropped to sprints. Has been getting well clear at the three quarter mark only to get caught and i see a similar scenario today.
DR. RAIDER (FURIOUSLY x SADLER’S WELLS x MR. PROSPECTOR)
Has been running in stakes but has really been getting no where near the front. Has won an allowance this year at todays trip and that looks his level now. Not today.
THE TEMPEST (FOREST WILDCAT x ARCHERS BAY x STORM BIRD)
Again has run mostly in allowances at around this trip and has put in some nice runs but again that looks to be his level as he has been well beaten in any recent stakes tries.
KYOGLE TIGER (MT. LIVERMORE x STORM CAT x CRYPTOCLEARANCE)
Drops down from graded company where he has put up some nice runs at this trip. Likes to come from the back and will be closing fast at the finish. Looks the one to beat today.
TILLMAN (DANZIG x NIJINSKY II x NUREYEV)
Interesting, has been running in allowances at 8f but put up two nice runs latest to win at 8f twice with 101 sp’s. Looks ready for the step up and as he likes to sit just off the pace he may get first run on KYOGLE TIGER. Definite top three and a big danger.
DIENINISKI(GB) (DIESIS(GB) x NINISKI x HIGH LINE(GB))
He’s come close in stakes and put up nivce runs in allowances this year. Will probably join TILLMAN just off the pace and they might together make it hard for the favourite to get by’ Another definite top three.
Overall i see TILLMAN and DIENINISKI getting first run on KYOGLE TIGER and they’ll finish in that order.
