Welcome to Delaware for todays feature the Grade III GO FOR BROKE stakes for the young ladies over 8.5f on the dirt. A decent field of nine with most having a chance.
SUICIDAL PLANE (MEADOWLAKE x SADLER’S WELLS x FORTY NINER)
Run only in allowances so far, with her best run being her last over todays trip. She likes to sit just off the front early and has been taking over form around half way. Will find that harder today as there is a confirmed front runner in LILLIPUTIAN and several who like to sit in a simnilar position. If she goes too soon they will track her nad nail her on the line. Top five chance.
FOREVER BELLE (APTITUDE x NUREYEV x MINING)
Another who’s last run was her best but it also confirmed that she now wants further. Generally comes from near the back but with this being short of her best trip she’ll struggle to land a blow.
CSI SUPER (POINT GIVEN x FAPPIANO x LYPHARD)
Anothe rwithout a stakes run and who’s best came over a full furlong further at 9.5f. Usually sits near the front but she will struggle to do that today as she won’t have the basic pace. Not today.
GUESSS (FULL MANDATE x PRINCE TENDERFOOT x SOVEREIGN PATH(GB))
Has two stakes wins at 8f and 8.5f and has been pretty progressive for a bargain bred. Has solid form and doesn’t have only one way of running, has come fromthe back and sat just off the pace. Has a solid chance of a top three.
POINT TO BEN (GRAND SLAM x UNBRIDLED’S SONG x GRAUSTARK)
Waht can you say about four from four, including a stakes latest. Sits mid pack and should find the race run to suit. Teh one they all have to beat and the likely winner for me.
LILLIPUTIAN (FORESTRY x MT. LIVERMORE x IN REALITY)
Confirmed front runner but couldn’t hold on over 8f, so why should she hold on over 8.5f. Looks best at 7-7.5f and should be out back to sprinting. Will also be taken on upfront from halfway and may not like it. May get a top five.
A OK RAIDER (SOUVENIR COPY x RAHY x SEATTLE SLEW)
Has had a lot of races and has a mixed bag of some nice and some ordinary runs. Has been closing over todays trip and looks to want 9-10f now. Can she be close enough through the first three quarters of the race to get a blow in at the end ? Not today.
BALDO HOLLANDIA (PURE PRIZE x SECRETARIAT x MARSHUA’S DANCER)
Only won two from twelve, but has been running in garded races. She does have a win at todays trip in a stakes but has also been very up and down. The morning line price is too short, she has a chance of a top three but not sure about the win.
SEEKING THE BAND (SAARLAND x SEEKING THE GOLD x DIXIELAND BAND)
HAs a couple of stakes and graded runs but looked outclassed. Has run ok in allowance srecently and the trip looks about right. Chance of a top five palce.
Overall a difficult race to call, with most having a decent shout. However POINT TO BEN looks to have more to offer and can get the win ahead of GUESS and BALDO HOLLANDIA.
