The Sabrina GrdeIII

A small but select field of five two year old fillies front up to do battle and earn points for the major races down the track in the Sabrina Stakes Grade III  for two year old fillies over six furlongs on fast dirt at New Jersey this weekend. Though the field is small number wise the quality is top shelf.

BITER HOLLANDIA trained by barrstable and showing 9/2 on the board. This smart brown filly is by (French Deputy x Crusader Sword ) and her sire has five winners to his credit so far this season. Her dam  won one race so she has already beaten that and she stands at two from four. She won her first two starts and than finished third in a Stakes event, but than faltered at her latest run in a  Grde3.  The distance should suit though she may struggle with the class here.

SEE THE BALL DROP trained by claimfame and with odds of 2/1 is a classy looking brown filly by (Western Winner x Awesome Again ) and her sire has had nine winners up to this point. Her dam was a very good racehorse and had ten wins in her career. So far this filly is three from four and was the winner of a Stakes at her last run. She appears to appreciate being on the pace and than produces a driving finish and she will take a measure of holding out in this and is one for the future.

KISS OF BETRAYAL(IRE) trained by pm and is 4/1 on the board. Another nice looking brown filly by ( Rock Of Gibraltor x Gone West ) and her sire has posted  fifteen winners so far this year. Her dam was the winner of two races and she looks to be much better than that. At her seconded run she got away with a maiden and than was put into a Grde3 where she struggled. I feel that she may be just out of her class at this stage of her career, but is one to watch as she is definitely on the improve.

SHREWD GAL trained by richgins and is at the odds of 2/1 on the tote. This impressive chestnut filly is by ( Crafty Prospector x Danehill ) and her sire has fourteen winners to his name this year. At her only start she romped away with a Maiden giving everybody the impression she was the real goods. Even though she is bypassing Allowance class and also Stake races one gets the feeling she will be hard to hold out.

MISS CONGENIALITY trained by paddy and is at 3/1 on the tote. Another striking chestnut filly by (Congaree x Mr Greeley ) her sire has twenty one winners to his credit and is certainly one of the real up and comers in the game. Her dam one only the one race and so far this filly is three from three. The winner of a maiden at her debut she than stepped up to Stakes level and promptly ran away with two of those. This filly promises to be right up there with the best and she will make her prescence felt in this race.
