The Final Fantasy Memorial

As the gates opened, Flaming Pegasus, a 4 year old daughter of Fusaichi Pegasus, used her early speed and regular front end style to go nearly un-challenged.  As her lead grew as the race went on, she was a 6 length winner under the line.

The filly’s time of 3:32.4/5 recorded a modest Speed Number of 86.  It was her 8th victory in start number 24 in her career.

Im A Chick Now got the perfect stocking trip to challenge the eventual winner, but came up flat in the final furlongs when it matter as she nearly gave up 2nd place to a late closing Nexis Rainbow who needed a little more room to secure the place prize. The final 3 in the short field of 6 were behind early and never able to get themselves into contention.
