As we head to South America most people wont give two hoots about who is running, let alone who wins. But as we take a closer look, we could be viewing some future champions of the sim.
VASECTOMY – One win from one race suggests that he will be something but is nowhere near this quality yet.
CANDLEPOWER(IRE) – He is a good competitor and has ran some quick sectionals although his quickest runs have been off track. This will really show where he’s at and could upset with a bit of luck.
SKILLS IN MAGIC – The favourite here who has earned nearly half a million dollars and ran some very quick races. The extra distance will only help him and something would have to go terribly wrong for him to not win with odds of 1/2. Good luck peeps9 you have a bloody good horse here.
REDOUTE’S VICE(AUS) – Being Australian myself, I’m a huge supporter of the Australian horses especially Redoute’s Choice. This looks a bit too far for him and the jockey instructions will need to change otherwise he can expect to lead for the first 6-7 furlongs and will be swamped in or just before the home stretch.
ITHREWUPINMYMOUTH(AUS) – It is difficult to go past anything that is sired by a son of arguably the greatest sire on the game – danehill. At 3/1, he will probably be jostling for 2nd as the favourite ‘Skills in magic’ appears to have this won. He may surprise with the extra distance.
