FROM THE HORSES MOUTH – 5093

From the Horses Mouth

RACE 1

4 – SPINNING ELI(NY) – missed by a nose this company last time out, on the board in eight of thirteen starts, much the best here but at 1/9 odds it’s a sit back and watch the race

RACE 2

4 – Z’S PERFECTION(KY) – turned in triple digits last time out, the only horse in this field with that accomplishment, in an impressive allowance win this track, this distance; a first and a second two starts nine panels

6 – SHORT NOTICE(KY) – the once highly regarded grey mare made mild rally in turf debut last time out, returns to dirt where she finished a fast closing second two back, one for you angle players

5 – EMBOLDENED(JPN) – winner of six starts in seventeen tries, gets edge in experience but has only managed a third place finish in four allowance starts, happy with part

RACE 3

5 – SILENT PANTHER(JPN) – triple digits in three of four starts for new connections against better rivals, drops into a starter here and should feel more at home with these

3 – FIRM FOUNDATION(KY) – well-placed here, proven at this distance and could dictate the pace right out of the gate

4 – IRUZ(GB) – hasn’t shown any real desire to go beyond a mile in recent starts, has some back class and last was good, might hold on for a share

RACE

6 -MESSAGE IN BLOOD(KY) – consistently throws triple digit speeds and was betrayed by the camera when 2nd in the Lil Pot Turf Mare Memorial in February, notch above these, take the short odds

4 – BORN TO TRY(JPN) – despite recording only two victories in her 23 lifetime tries, the Delta Blues filly usually gives a good account of herself finishing no worse than second in six of her last seven starts

7 – AT THE WAXWORKS(ENG) – has been around the block a time or two winning 19 times in 41 tries; in her comfort zone on the turf this level

RACE 5

5 – SUCCESSFUL QUEST(KY) – made short work of field in last coming out of a pair of open allowance races; been facing better and gets edge in tight field

13 – WORD FROM ON HIGH(KY) – looked like a different horse last out when ran a new top and looks ready to make jump to next level, can’t dismiss at 8-1

1 – ITS NOT POLICY(KY) and INDIAN BLUES(KY) mirror one another in that both have been fed a steady diet of Non-Winners of TWO in…and while always competitive, never seem to get the job done

RACE 6

7 – SAME OLD TUNE(KY) – can forgive last when given a wake up call over the dirt course by sharp handler, disappointed previous two in graded competition and sits on a very critical race this week

3 – A BEWILDERED LOOK(KY) – not as consistent as you would like from a 5/2 second choice, but recent form is good, and when in the mood is as good as anything in here

4 – KEIRSTEAD(IL) – could find himself in the enviable position of looking behind himself wondering where’s the competition, dangerous if left to an uncontested lead

RACE 7

6 – DANCE RULER(KY) – plenty speed in here to suit this fillies running style, driving winner in last; from multi Grade I winning mare of over $2.7 million and Dam to graded winner

1 – TEN GHOULS(KY) – second in stakes last out, speed and the rail a dangerous combination

2 – NEPTUNE‘S CURSE(KY) – circled the field in a last to first move in debut and should like the added distance

RACE 8

4 – CREPELLOX(IRE) – must have thought he died and went to heaven when doing a complete form reversal last time out when dropped for a tag for the first time, should like the mile even better

7 – ORIMAL(IRE) – hasn’t been on the board in last nine starts buts gets first claiming opportunity in 22 career starts and is eligible to improve on the drop down

8 – VOW TO DEFEND(KY) – Unbridled’s Song colt tries turf for the first time and would easily handle this field if he takes to the surface

RACE 9

3 – WILL CALL(KY) – might find her return to a shorter distance a welcome sight, class of the field has won this distance three times, one coming in stakes company

1 – CHATAYA(KY) – been right there this company three of last four, riding a three race trip digit streak, best of this bunch that category

7 – STOP THE TRAFFIC(KY) – knows her way around the racetrack hitting the board in 19 of 36 career starts

RACE 10

5 – ANTIQUE(KY) – stepped onto the racetrack and popped a 91 speed figure at first asking, a speed some of these might never reach in their career

1 – MIDNIGHT RAPTURE(IRE) – bad case of seconditis, drops back into a sprint hoping to cure this malady

9 – IRON CLAW(POL) – still trying to figure out how this one wound up in the auction, solid speed figures 4 starts, gets good look here

RACE 11

4 – CK BACK AT YA(KY) – best start came at a mile on the turf back in February in Colorado and then was entered on the dirt next three, well overmatched in last in turf return and should be ready for the huge effort here on Saturday

8 – BELLA NAPOLI(KY) – stepped out of the maiden ranks and represented herself well in her first start against winners, on the board every start, might be this good

9 – GENOVESE(KY) – turned in solid effort when returned to turf in last coming off three dirt races where she didn’t really fit

RACE 12

4 – OUTBACK DODGE(KY) – looks like the lone speed here, has the pedigree and should relax more on the front end with the added distance

1 – TALKING STICK(KY) – best start yet came last out in mile debut, saves ground here and could take top honors if top choice falters

3 – BUNK HOUSE(IRE) – Sea The Stars colt tries turf first time, likely to improve

RACE 13

1 – WAKE THE PREACHER(KY) – sits patiently behind what promises to be a very fast pace and has enough class to take over when the front end collapses, owns this distance and who would bet against the luck of the irish

7 – SMARTY’S REEF(KY) – has one speed and one speed only, fast, catch her if you can, run with her and she will run you into submission, leave her alone and she will wave bye-bye

10 – CRIBLIA(KY) – will wait for the ‘Preacher’ to make her move and try and out-sprint her to the wire

RACE 14

7 – FINAL EXIT(KY) – number 1 ranked 3yo filly handled by Eclipse Award winning trainer; winner of three G-1’s including the Middle Jewel, do the math, even I can add this up

10 – NEVER COME BACK(ENG) – turned in a solid effort in the Middle Flower racing a new top; might be finding her best stride, price is right and form is good

9 – BIOWEAPON(NZ) – third last two graded starts and last was a career best 100 speed figure, always comes running in the end, might surprise

RACE 15

2 – HYPO(KY) – takes a vacation from graded company and is just faster then her opponents in here, take the short price

1 – VEGA STORM(IRE) – back to doing what she does best and that’s sprinting where she is first or second in nine of 12 stats

RACE 16

3 – DIRTY SHAME(KY) – on the board in seven of nine stakes starts, been through the trenches and gets the edge in a competitive field

4 – LE ROI CAT(IRE) – has been competitive at the stakes level and turns back into a sprint, stretch threat

5 – BLAMER(KY) – could be anything, impressive winner in both career starts
