CAT OF THE TAIL

9/1

Has the speed to cause some damage. Sneaks under the radar in this race and is at nice odds. Don’t think he can win, but will be in the top five.

GO FOR DYNA

15/1

Prefer in something longer. The others will just be too sleek for him. Not fancied and won’t beat too many home.

GO GO YUBARI

12/1

Very consistent, but this rise in class might be a bit much. A dark horse who could somehow sneak in for a place.

THE INDY CITY

11/1

Been swamped in its past two starts. Been using up too much petrol early and nothing left in the tank. The jockey will be told to preserve some fuel and to kick in the final furlong.

TAKING RISKS

7/1

Poor effort last start where it was obvious he was lacking in fitness. Should be better this time around. Likes to sit on the pace and can dictate terms. One of the main chances.

FORTY SCOOBS

11/1

Missed the placings once in his career and was unlucky to do so in his last start. Still learning but will be strong on the line. At 11/1 great value and will be in the top 3 again.

SIX PULPIT’S

7/1

Disappointing the last two starts. Freshened up for this run and we should see a reversal in its form. Will be pushing on and should be in the finish.

GO FOR BOOT

17/1

Hasn’t been making any ground lately. Will find the speed to swift here also. Will get back and stay back. No chance.

CANUNGRA FOLLY

5/1

A cracking effort last start, and if he can produce anything near that he’ll streak this field by 5 lengths. Fabulously bred. The one to beat.

GO FOR PROSPECT

16/1

I don’t think he has in him to challenge these. Might need to look for something easier. A more forward showing could be the way to go.

DIAMOND HEAD

10/1

Likes to get back and have one last crack at the leaders. Solid effort last start, but he seems to find some traffic regularly. If he gets a clean run, a nice chance at some value.

KENTUCKY ONE

22/1

Connections might feel a change of riding tactics might be needed in race like this. Always goes back, and doesn’t seem to make ground. Dictating on his own terms could be they key. Not for me here.

ZARCILLO

7/1

Very versatile galloper looking to recapture his winning form. Goes best when he sits off the leaders and lets go with his finishing sprint. One of the top chances!

INSTANT CLASSIC

12/1

Poor run last start and can be forgiven. Previous form impressive from this on-pacer. Has the speed to match it with these. If  he has some gas in the tank in the final furlong, will be hard to run down.
