Rockin’ Ready For The Comet

A small field of only 5 runners will start in The Bent Comet Stakes over 1500m on the Turf but there does appear to be some up and coming stars engaged.

CRANK ME UP from the parramatta stable looks out of his depth here and should be closer to 66/1 instead of the 6/1 quoted. Nicely bred but seems to like the Dirt better than the turf.
ROCKAROUNDTHECLOCK(IRE)for the coaltown yard looks a ready made racehorse judging by his dominating win at Athens on debut. This son of Rock Of Gibraltar is heading for bigger things and should go close here.
TRANSWARP CONDUIT(GB) for indigo2 is consistant enough but just doesn’t seem to be finishing his races off lately. The No.1 Jock may make the differance.
PESHTIGO TIMERS(IRE) for desprint just faded over 1600m last start but with a drop in distance could give this a shake. Raced well prior to that.
LAFFIT PINCAY JR. for the seveii stable is a potential superstar judging by his win on debut at NSW running a slick 80SP. This son of Bahri would only need to repeat that to win this one.

My selections 5 – 2 – 4.
