No stakes to speak of the week, just some fast horses

RODOTs

The oddla stable continued mastery of the LA local bred game, posting another 1-2 finish a maiden claimer last week.  Powhatan, a 3yo K One King filly, took home the honors with a gate to wire victory under jockey A Donahue, with When To Dance closing late.  There was also a nice 2yo maiden score by apindy001’s Unbridled Kong.  The Unbridled’s Song colt improved his spf by ten with an extra furlong, covering the 6.5 panels in 1:18 2/5

Saturday

Saturday’s local bred race, a nw2l allowance, was taken by 2yo Big Time Wild.  The Big Top Cat colt is now 2 for 3, easily scoring as the heavy favorite under A Jolly.

Super Search, a 2yo Pivotal filly for the sender3 stable, remained undefeated on the turf, taking a nw2l allowance in convincing fashion with leading rider F Oxon up.

The fastest performance of the week was turned in by rocket24’s Gray Mist. The 4yo El Prado colt is now riding a three race winning streak, all at 8.5 furlongs over the local dirt course.  His brazen early speed was on display once again, running the competition off their feet early on before coasting in for the length and a half victory. Once again, F Oxon was showing the way for this flashy grey runner.

Some other notable runners would include Monastary(closing furiously for an alw win), easy allowance wins for Motion Dismissed, Prairie Storm, Vocation, Working’s Joy, Theatrical Tale, and Distorted Rhythm.

Leading jockey F Oxon booted home five winners on saturday, as well as another in the rodots, as did A Jolly. D Hogin carded four of his own on saturday.

The Rocket22 stable group had two winners on the saturday card, as well as another rodot win.  SIM heavy hitters Super, Dixiedotco, Litbitfarm, etc, were just some of the high percentage trainers taking home wins this week as well……it ain’t easy winning in Louisiana.
