Is it Kirby’s Country or will Hard Rock knock him down.

North Dakota holds the Pharsaint Stakes this week over 6 Furlongs on turf for 2yo’s

1 – Flits Hollandia – 7/2

One Cool Cat x Master Bill x Nashua

This son of One Cool Cat is the longest shot in the field and has some talent their. His first 3 starts were very disappointing although running 2^nd in a Maiden Special Weight. In 2573 he went into a Benelux Owner Restricted MSW where he ran 2^nd place with a impressive 82 speed figure. Last start over 6 Furlongs he won a Maiden Special Weight by 2 lengths.

2 – Hard Rock – Evens

Roar x Capote x Theatrical

This son of Roar is the favourite in this short field. From 2 wins in 5 starts he has earned just over $30,000. In just his 2^nd start which was on dirt Hard Rock broke his maiden over 5 Furlongs winning by 1 length. In his next start in an Allowances he closed very hard but still ran 4^th losing by 4 lengths. Then the trainer decided he needed a try on turf and right indeed he was where he came away with a 2 ¼ length win in an Allowance over 6.5 Furlongs with a 81 Speed Figure. Last start he tried Stakes Company for his first time in his career. He was very impressive over 6 Furlongs Turf where he ran 2^nd by just 1 length with a 81 Speed Figure. If he gets the right run he should be able to run well

3 – Northern Rocket – 5/2

Forest Wildcat x Seattle Slew x Buckpasser

– This well bred son of Forest Wildcat was bred over by Jockeymax and sent to the computer. In his first start he won a MSW over 6F Dirt. His next 2 starts were terrible on Turf and Dirt. He is bred for Dirt and I think if the owner should of tried a shorter sprint on dirt before breeding over.

4 – Kirby Country – 5/2

Cat Country x Fast Play x Compliance

– The #24^th ranked 2yo Turf Sprinter by Cat Country comes to a stakes here today. Being raced 7 time for 4 wins and $85,000 this is probably the main challenge to #2. The trainer debuted him in a Maiden Claimer where he won that comfortably and then backed up with a Allowance win by 1 ¾ lengths. In his 4^th start he won in his first Stakes Company attempt and looked to be something special. Last start over 6 Furlongs he won another Stakes Race by 1 ½ lengths with a 77SF.
