Cosmopolitan Mile Lives Up

Usually, nothing ever seems to match the hype, but the Cosmopolitan Mile sure did…

After quietly rolling along midpack through the early running, HOT AND SPICY charged up and caught the front-runners just in time, signifying that he may indeed be truly back to form after his subpar winter/spring performances.

It was the second consecutive time that the 4yo chestnut son of Awesome Again pulled off a graded-stakes win at 13/1 (Looks like the CPU needs to begin paying this guy some respect). “Spicy” garnered his sixth career graded-stakes win and pushed his Sim bankroll over the $3 million mark in the process.

After battling for the lead throughout, JUILLET BLUES looked like he was going to take the Cosmo after winning the pace duel with 3rd-place finisher WATERGATE SCANDAL, but HOT AND SPICY proved to be just a little too much.

“I’m glad to see this colt get his mojo back! I think he can hold it together longer now that he’s more mature”, said trainer londoner.

Should this prove true, HOT AND SPICY will be a very tough customer amongst the top middle-distance dirt runners for the rest of 2010.
