| DIVINE STRIKE(IRE) | 5/1 | GRsimsters – 5yo scratch bred horse sired by
| DELPENN GOLD(IRE) | 7/1 | DelPenn National – 5yo scratch bred by the infamous Sadler’s Wells. Has three graded victories on the turf. Took a break after his 4yo season which ended with three lack luster efforts. 1st race break this year was a tune-up allowance win over lesser. The horse looks to be fresh and should put up a very good effort here. As with many here, he likes to kick it in gear late.
| 10/1 | Universal RC – 4yo filly taking on the boys. She is scratch bred to Sadler’s Wells. Started on dirt and when switched to turf she racked up five W’s in a row to meet her conditions. Showing her breeding she than placed in two graded events before winning a G1 against the boys in CA. She would probably favor running against her own kind, but can’t find enough distance events for her gender. Last out was too long and she faded early. Can’t eliminate because of sex.
| FLAMMEN SEHEN(GER) | 9/1 | GRsimsters – 5yo scratch bred mare by Monsun. Another female taking on the boys. Unlike the #3 filly, she hasn’t placed against the males as of yet. She has however won three graded events against her own kind. Her last out was in the same event as the inside filly; but the results were dull. It’s hard to figure her condition at present, but she certainly is a winning type as seen by her PP’s.
| EL SKUNKBERTO SLEW(KY) | 6/1 | Blazing Saddles – 4yo scratch bred colt by El Prado. This youngster is still green behind the ears. He has only eleven starts but six W’s go along with them. He already has three listed stakes wins. This will be his second try at graded class. Hard to tell what he will do here even with his last two starts resulting in listed victories…wait and see.
| FAR FROM OJAI(CA) | 12/1 | Midas – 4yo scratch bred colt by Cee’s Tizzy. Most inexperienced of this field. The colt has gone through conditions and is seeking his class status in this. One thing going for this colt is his speed and he should be setting or close to the pace in a field of closers.
| WRECKING CREW(IRE) | 13/1 | GRsimsters – 5yo scratch bred horse by Sadler’s Wells. 2008 winner of the Breeder’s Bowl Turf has a lot to prove here. After winning the Canada Turf G1 in Oct. of last year, he has been very ineffective. His last three starts have been the worst of his career. Even a dirt allowance start in his last didn’t breath signs of life. Needs to get it going again.
| GALIESIS(IRE) | 7/1 | Comedy Central – 5yo horse out of a “C” rated mare and sired by Galileo. Horse’s mare has done an outstanding job as a broodmare and this horse is a fine example. Bred in
| GRAND VICTOIRE(IRE) | 6/1
| MATISYAHU(KY) | 5/1 | GRsimsters – 6yo scratch bred by Tiznow. Horse has been claimed twice as a youngster, but has now matured into a fine turf steed. Multi stakes and graded winner over the last few years and is riding a 3 win streak at present. The horse could easily take these down in his present form. It doesn’t appear he had to exert himself in the last three starts. Top jock in the irons doesn’t hurt either.
| BLANC DE NOIRS(KY) | 9/1 | Non-resident – 6yo out of an “F” rated mare and sired by Rahy. A nice horse that has done well on both dirt and turf. Has one listed stakes win on dirt and shown lately his ability to go a distance. Earnings reflect his ability as a graded sort. Given a chance here to see if he belongs.
