12 wins out of 27 outings is a pretty good run so far. That includes a G3 win back in June last year. Since then a win at Stakes level over 7.5 furlongs and another second place finish two runs back. Tried his luck at G1 level last time out but that was disappointing to say the least fading throughout the race to finish 10th and nowhere near the leaders. Not in the best of form.

From out of form to one that is in form and very much so. On a streak of 3 consecutive wins they have all been at allowance level but posting good speeds of 107,101 and 104. This is a step up here but I think he is up for it. Finishes well after sitting about midfield for much of the race could surprise here and good odds if he does. Worth looking at anyway.

Consistent runner of late has got some pretty good finishes too. Recent runs of note include a fast finishing fourth place finish in the G1 Penn Dash over 7 furlongs with a speed of 111. Last time out was a win at Stakes level over 7.5 furlongs and again posted a good speed of 110. I think he prefers a bit more distance than here and may find wanting that extra few lengths down the straight.

Arrive somewhere – can’t say the rest of the name. Had a few runs this 6yo now at 45 outings all up. Only 8 wins in all those runs but has been posting a few good speeds of late. In particular two wins at Stakes level with speeds of 114 and 112. Dropped off a bit in his last two runs speed wise and was reall pushing it in the G1 Vermont Is 4 Lovers over 7 furlongs last time out but was closign well. More distance maybe? Definitely I think. I’d like to see him run over 8 furlongs while he is in this sort of form.

In form and got the sim talking now with 5 of his 9 wins out of his last 8 outings. That includes a win in the G1 Because I Said So Stakes over 6 furlongs late last year. Two wins since that run both at Stakes level means he gets another chance here at Graded company and deservedly so too. Posting good 100+ consistent speeds, distance is probably fine and has a good chance to trouble the favourites.

This one has sort of come out of nowhere. Debut at Graded level here. Up until two races ago he looked like an ordinary runner you can find anywhere in the sim. Few good wins at Allowance level, hit the 100 speed once, had a few goes at Stakes level early on with a couple of third place finishes. Good horse to have in your stable but not a superstar thats for sure. His last two races though are something else. Big jump in speed to 110 at Allowance level over 7.5 furlongs and then a 112 over 7 furlongs at Stakes level. Both his last two runs were wins. Both were also his first as a 4yo. And thats the difference, a year older and he looks strong and fast. Big odds but I think he has a genuine chance to take this out. Definitely one to back in my book.

Big earnings in his career to date, over a million bucks! However the odds on the tote tell a different story. He prefer the longer distances and this is going to be too short I think. Also very much out of form. Hasn’t really been figuring in any of his races. Trainer even tried him over to dirt recently but that did nothing either. Back in distance here and why not – have to try something to get his form back. Not likely to figure here though. Maybe a stint back in Allowance will get his form back.

Coming back into good form again this is not his first time at Graded level. Has a win at G2 level in Sep last year and most recently, in fact his last run was a second place finish in the G1 Vermont is 4 Lovers over 7 furlongs. Still closing too which is a good sign of finishing well in the straight. May well be wanting a tad more distance but has certainly proven himself at this level. Could go the whole way.

Out of Theatrical(IRE) and with 12 wins from 43 outings, this is the oldie of the race at 7 years old. So based on that alone has no chance whatsoever. Not true as he appears to be in form with his last three runs which is why I suspect his trainer has put him back into Graded company. Had a go at a G1 in August last year but failed there fading in the straight. Hasn’t run since Dec so has had a good spell. Not sure if that will help or hinder him but watch for his comeback here.

Straight up the distance here is going to be too long for this 4yo colt out of Gone West. Has been running almost exclusively at 7 furlongs and every race bar one has faded at the end and been overtaken. Has had a few placings in the top three but that is after having led for much of the race. I’d be inclined to try him over 6 furlongs and see how he performs there.

Running well at allowance level got a chance at G2 three runs back which he couldn’t perform in over 8 furlongs. In fact the distance was too far in the end. Followed that up with a win over 7.5 furlongs at Stakes level and a great speed of 110. Last run was a measly 94 in the G1 Vermont Is 4 Lovers – few horses here have run in that race – which again he failed in. I think Stakes level might be his limit although he has posted a couple of recent good speeds. Hard to judge how he will go here.

Ran a good race at the end of August last year where this now 6yo got a good win over 6 furlongs in the G2 Cane Toad Stakes. Since then though it has been all downhill. Has been running in big races including 2 G1 and 2 G2 but still hasn’t been able to perform at that level at all. This will be too hard too I think. Might need to push him back to allowance I think.

Very lightly raced 4yo. Only 14 runs for 5 wins. Another which is trying to get to Graded level and may well be able to if he runs like he has never run before. In fact better than that. Also I think he may want 8furlong plus distances as he seems to have been closing well but run out of room. Maybe he can make Graded level but not at this distance.

In good form and performing well. Ran in the G2 Delpenn Turf Monsters over 7 furlongs and finished there well with a superb speed of 113 and a fast closing second place finish. Was gaining in the G1 Penn Dash over 7 also but ran out of room again finishing 6th across the line. Something of a unknown as to how he will perform here. Again I’d like to see him over a much longer distance 8 to 9 furlongs.
So a nice big field here of 14 runners. Few hopeful’s thats for sure. One for me that stands out is 6 ZEDITAL(ENG) – I know big odds but he just looks ready to take this one away. Can’t wait to see how he goes here.
