This is a mare that comes into this race with just 4 wins out of 39 lifetime starts and doesn’t have a win in her last 6 and you need to go back into the early months of 2007 before you find the last time this mare was in the winners circle. That being said she does come in off of 2 good efforts over the lawn against stakes company and a good record in her last 4 of 0-2-1 and has posted some great speed numbers of 104 -103 -95 -99. The question is can you bet a mare against stakes company without a win in nearly 2 years at this price to win???

This mares form jumps right off the page at you, she was claimed out of her debut for $35,000 when she was a winner right here in BC since then she has won 14 races in 21 starts good for 15 wins lifetime and in peak form right now with 11 wins and 2 seconds in her last 13, she loves this track winning here 14 times in 18 starts all going around 7 furlongs and all on the turf. she is a stone closer that will sit off the pace for jockey Brewer and will be picking tired horses off in the stretch. The knock on this mare is that she has raced against restricted company and will try her hand at Stakes horses for the first time. Will she handle the step up in class? her Beyer ratings are high enough to suggest that she will but this field is going to be her toughest to date.

Comes in to town to try stakes company off of 4 very poor efforts against Alw types, she is off form and her best efforts don’t stack up well against the power in this field, off form and out matched is a bad combo when racing horses, she does get Bauder which is a plus, but he will need to be a magician to pull this one off

DISTORTED HUMOR x GONE WEST x LAHIB
Comes into town after trying the dirt in her latest 21 days ago and gets back to her preferred surface today, she had a good showing 2 and 3 back against graded types and I have no problem tossing her last line on the dirt off and saying this is the mare to beat, she has 2 stakes wins on the turf in her last 6 and is going to be another horse looking to close late in the race and looks like the winner if she returns to form and at a nice price of 5/2

5-JEZEBELLE – 7/2
MR. GREELEY x RAHY x SADLER’S WELLS
Here is a mare that could upset, she might not have the class that Violete shows or all those flashy wins like Flying Dancer but she has a major advantage over the other contenders and that is speed, there is likely to be no speed to run at do all the closers are the favorites and if she gets to an easy lead or stocks behind the out match Empty Canteen she might just be able to steal this one at a nice price.
