A quick preview of the races for this week. There are some high priced ($100k) claims races. There are many stakes (or higher) races this week – featuring The New Yorker (G1). This week is also the third race of the NY Sires Series – Race 16.

LA CHILINDRINA(KY) is making her debut as the favorite. I think EDEN’S PARK(KY) can win this race and that is my bet to win. If you are looking for a longshot, try YAJAPURA(IRE) who has improved in recent races.

The favorite – STRUCK AGAIN(KY) – has never run on turf. CANTALOUPE ISLAND(KY) is coming of a nice performance and PRAY FOR RAIN RYRY(KY) has better experience – box’em.

SWEET SWEET CANDY is the favorite. There is a large crowd right behind her in the odds department. Key her with the field for an exacta bet.

FP ECTON FLYER(KY) is the favorite by far in this small field. Why bother betting at all? Because either one of the two longshots have a shot in this one at 6/1. Bet both ECTOSKELETON(KY) and FOOLISH BATTLE(KY) to place.

TRADING JACK(KY) the favorite in a small field is stepping back down to sprints where he is undefeated. I think it will be a shoot out with TANGIBLE SPEED(KY) – Box’em!

STRONG PROSPECT and ENGLISH GARDEN(IRE) are the top 2 favorites, but I like SONG GIRL coming off a poor recent race. Exacta box for all three.

The co-favorites are FLEETING ACCOUNT and BASTIAN. BASTIAN seems to be hitting all the right notes recently, so my bet is BASTIAN to win.

TORCH THE FLAME(KY) and RISK OF RUIN(KY) are the top two favorites. I will bet the longshot – DASH NO MORE(JPN) – to show.

BLACK WEST(KY) and CELEBRITY SWAIN(IRE) are the favorites here. Key BLACK WEST(KY) with 3, 6, and 10.

SABBATH POINT(KY) is on a legendary tear and will likely dominate again. Bet all to win on lucky 7.

A tremendous field represents some of the best horses in the simworld. The odds tell us that this is a battle between KISSIN STREETCRY(KY) and FOLSOM BLUES(KY). Based on the Bluegrass Derby I would have to say that KISSINSTREETCRY(KY) will come out on top. Of the longer shots, I like ROCK HARDKORN(KY) and WELL GROOMED(KY) for their experience at longer distances. I will bet a trifecta – key 13 – KISSIN STREETCRY(KY) with 5, 6, and 8.

All horses, 3 years old — RESTRICTED TO PARTICULAR OWNERS

The third restricted race in the NY Sires Series. THIS IS FUN(NY) and FAST TONY(NY) would have been the favorites AGAIN if it were not for newcomer IENIESUS(NY). The mares have done well in this contest so far and IENIESUS(NY) has the speed at this distance. THE EYES OF RASH(NY) has finished third in the two previous contests and has a good shot to show again. FRATEUD(NY) and THE FIFTH HOUR(NY) are making their debut in this race – both have very nice Dame Sires that have produced distance in the past, but I will give the edge to FRATEUD(NY) here. Of the longer shots one of the better speed numbers was produced by ITS A SURE THING(NY). IENIESUS(NY) should win this race and I would key her in an exacta with all of the horses mentioned above (2 with 1,3,8,11,12).
