Welcome to Queensland! We have a short field here today in the Sour Kraut Cup Grade II Fillies and mares, 3 years old and up, A mile and one half on the Good Turf Course, Purse : $250,000. Lets begin on what horses we have today. PP Horse Owner Jockey Odds 1 Nouveau Delight citygirl T. Philips 37/1 A nice 4 year old filly out of ORATORIO (IRE) x SKY CLASSIC x SADLER’S WELLS who has been racing in allowance races. This filly is definitely stepping up his game in this race. She hasn’t been doing well in her past allowance races as she mostly ran 3rd or 4th. Her speed doesn’t compare with the other horses. Let T. Philips try to take a dream home ride. 2 Tilt A Whirl losethecode J. Bailey 3/1 We got here an amazing horse in this race. She has been doing really well in her past 4 races with her SP at 100+ in each of those races. In the Queen Mambo Special it looks like she was coming down the stretch and just flew by the horses winning by 3 lengths. She has experience in racing against these type of horses and will probably do well. 3 True Dream kevoman2 C. Wyatt 2/1 What great turf breeding this horse has. Bred out of the legendary sire Sadler’s Wells and his dam sire Nijinsky II. This horse is the favorite in the race and certainly deserves it. This 5 year old mare has been doing tremendous work in her past races. She ran second in the Tabitha Bewitched Stakes
4 Wexford County futurestar M. Radke 9/2
We got here another 5 year old out of the legendary Sadler’s Wells horse. The horse has been doing quite ok and knows what its like running in a graded race. She ran a terrible race in the Tabitha Bewitched Stakes running 7th. She also faced True Dream in this race who ran second in the race. Looks like M. Radke will have this horse behind the leaders waiting for the call to move.
5 Condemnation lenny14 M. Cameron 4/1
We got here another 5 year old mare out of the turf legend Kingmambo who has been doing very well at this age. If you exclude 2 out of his 8 last races she has either won or run in the money. This horse certainly has speed and will try stealing the race by going wire to wire. I can’t believe this horse can run up front for so long at this distance. A ton of heart this horse has. M. Cameron will have control of this horse as lenny14 will give him the instructions for the race.
6 Kepler of Rainbow bobo O. Alexander 5/1
A 4 year old England bred filly out of Rainbow Quest and yet again dam sire Sadler’s Wells who’s been doing great since her last start. She won the Tetetotoora Special Stakes by 3 ½ lengths as a front runner. This is her first time against graded stakes horses. Good luck to the owner bobo for her first graded stakes victory.
7 Lulu’s Foul Mood stupor4 L. Wilber 20/1
This 4 year old filly hasn’t been running well in her past starts. She has won 4 races in her career and ran second 5 times in her career. This horse needs luck for her to win this race. Her last start she ran in dirt so you can excuse that race. But in her past starts it seems like she doesn’t have the speed to run in this type of race.
8 Antigua firstmate P. Kays 13/1
A 5 year old Irish bred horse out of THEATRICAL who has produced many turf legends. This 5 year old needs to drop down to a little easier races. She ran 4th in the Canto De Guerra Specials which there was only 6 horses in the race. Looking for others.
Here is my thoughts on this race on each horse. If I were to bet in this race I would put True Dream and Condemnation in an exacta box.
