THEO’S TOP 10 WATCHLIST
Each week I will focus on one division (older male, older female, 3yo male, 3yo female, 2 year olds will start in June). The rankings are taken by the sim division rankings via stakepoints and I add a little comment to each horse. Note in my lists horses are only eligible to be one one list and must have run 3 races in a row in a division to be eligible for that condition. Also, if a horse runs 3 times in a row in another division they would be removed from the list as well.
The chart is listed with this weeks ranking, last weeks ranking, horse name, this weeks stake points, last week’s stake points and a brief comment on the horses recent performance.
The older female division is featured this week.
Hope to see your horses on the top 10 watchlist soon.
OLDER FEMALES—DIRT SPRINTS
(1) (1)—TIRED WINGS(KY)—(400) (402)—had difficulty in NW Grade III last time out suggesting last fall’s big run may have taken more out of her than we thought.
(2) (2)—FLEETWOOD MIA(TUR)—(198) (182)—made amends for previous start by rallying for 2nd place finish in N1 Grade II.
(3) (3)—SONG OF THE HAWK(KY)—(174) (176)—is still regrouping in barn after losing win streak last time out.
(4) (4)—STIRLING FORM—(136) (148)—hopes to carry NY form to her next start which will surely be coming up soon.

(6) (NA)—MRS. STARK REALITY—(114) (NA)—big rally from the back of the field to finish 2nd in NY Grade II last time out puts this girl on the top 10 chart this week.
(7) (6)—SPEEDOMETER(KY)—(112) (114)—well, the turf try sure was not the answer her connections were looking for.
(8) (8)—CORMORANT CREEK—(88) (88)—PP pattern suggest her next start is a guaranteed 2nd place finish.
(9) (9)—POSITIVE DISCISION—(86) (86)—hopefully she can refind last summers form when she comes back to the races for her next start.
(10) (7)—BATTLEFIELD EARTH(GB)—(80) (112)—a trip to SW was not the answer for this girl’s woes as her last win keeps going further and further into the horizon.
OLDER FEMALES—DIRT CLASSIC ROUTES
(1) (4)—SWEET SISTER MERCY—(246) (182)—no layoff this time as she came up big in Grade I AK race to take top spot on the chart this week.
(2) (1)—KATHERINEOFARAGON(FR)—(224) (224)—was rallying in the stretch but she just fell to far behind in the backstretch to have a shot last time in AK.

(4) (3)—INTENTTODISTRIBUTE—(194) (194)—is still at the farm and hopefully working on her stamina issues before returning to the track.

(8) (NA)—CAT O’ NINE LIVES(KY)—(116) (NA)—World Cup winner returns to the chart as this division usually has some dropping in and out due to other competitors retirements to the breeding shed.
(9) (NA)—TOUGH AS STEEL(KY)—(107) (NA)—Another World Cup winner who makes the top 10 with some minor share cheques picked up so far in 2008.
(10) (9)—LOVER NEVER DIE(IRE)—(104) (128)—last start in RI did not suggest a quick return to stakes forseen any time soon.
OLDER FEMALES—DIRT LONG ROUTES
(1) (1)—BOM BOM—(268) (206)—back to back DE Graded wins and a 4 race win streak have this girl solidly in the lead in this division for now.
(2) (2)—FROZEN FOUR—(195) (195)—looked like a possible winner at the top of the stretch in N1 Grade I last time out before fading to 4th and settling for minor share of the purse.

(5) (5)—WAR IN HEAVEN—(113) (97)—rebounds in last by rallying to 3rd place finish in N1 Grade I last time out.
(6) (4)—CSI SUPER—(110) (110)—she just could not carry VT improvement to N1 where she just never got untracked and ended up last in the race.
(7) (6)—A.P. PRINCESS(KY)—(95) (95)—dropped down to 10 furlongs last time out in Dubai but rally ended up short suggesting a return to the long routes again next time out.
(8) (7)—K’S ARAKU—(89) (89)—ran an even 2nd in 2008 debut in DB slop and hopefully the track conditions were the cause of the 89 speed rating.
(9) (8)—BLACK PLEASURE—(70) (74)—still no sign of when and if this one will return as barn has been inactive since December.
(10) (NA)—FUSAICHI KRISSY—(69) (NA)—won last time in AT and has cashed a cheque in all 3 starts so far this year to make the bottom rung in the top 10 ladder this week.
OLDER FEMALES—TURF SPRINTS
(1) (1)—BUDA FOR A DAY(KY)—(174) (178)—rally came up short in 4th place finish in TW last time out but was still good enough to keep her on top of the chart this week.

(6) (5)—MIRARI’S WAKE(IRE)—(120) (128)—she tired after bried speed early in SP Grade II last time out suggesting she is another who is not to found of the turf when the going is wet.

(8) (8)—PLOY—(84) (84)—speed duel in SP Grade II gave this one no chance at the end and she held on for 6th despite the crazy early fractions.

OLDER FEMALES—TURF CLASSIC ROUTES

(3) (3)—NORTHERN PULP—(232) (264)—returns to 8 furlongs this week in CA stake, a distance she probably prefers best.
(4) (4)—HIGH RANSOM—(212) (214)—2nd straight OT run below triple digit speed ratings suggests perhaps it’s time to get out of Canada.
(5) (6)—WET PAINT—(185) (192)—came back in allowance again last time out and hopefully 88 speed rating for 2nd place finish was due to a whcky track variant.
(6) (5)—TORCH THE FLAME(KY)—(181) (213)—is regrouping at Super sable headquarters as they try to find a way to get this girl back to the winners circle for the 1st time since the World Cup.

(10) (NA)—TARA(IRE)—(156) (NA)—first a win at 13/1 at DPCD and then a 2nd place finish in DB Grade I against the boys as 18/1 longshot has given her backers something to smile about when they cash at the windows.
