Tonopah Challenge

As predicted, an upset occurred in the Tonopah Challenge as the heavily bet 6-5 favorite One for the Ages was no where to be seen at the wire.

What wasn’t predicted was the actual winner of the race. Surely the Fool and Ladys Delight ran as a team for much of the race until they hit the 10f mark where the winner, Fast Break was sent loose by Kraft. Fast Break ran off to win by 4 lengths at 5-1 odds. Fast Break was our 3rd choice and proved capable of handling a tougher group.

Our top choice, Hearusplaydog, ran very disappointingly 7th, beating only the favorite One for the Ages (6-5). One for the Ages was never in the race and the extended distance was a futile experience for this horse.

Our second choice, High Performance finished fifth and ran flatly.

Vina Da Bona and Londonoir were other contestants in this affair, finishing 4th and 6th respectfully. Vina ran 3rd early before fading back and Lononoir never fired up in this race.
