SIYOUNI x CAPE CROSS scratch bred

Regally scratch bred front running daughter of SIYOUNI was second last out to Dream Summer while getting a 91 SP. Expect her to take the lead early but the question is, can she hold on to it? Her name is based on her sire’s name. She’s still quite green and only has 3 races under her belt but she’s been no worse than second. Her trainer decided to get another race into her in a short period of time, in order to give her some experience.

JUST A WAY out of BLUEGRASS CAT mare

Now we get to the third lightng99 entry. Sole G1 winner in the bunch and she’s being dismissed at 14-1. Won the 8f Filly Grand Prix last out and has outrun her breeding. She’s in line to win EOY for her division and a win here would solidify her standing. I will be going against the odds makers and call her the one to beat!

CAMELOT (GB) out of G1 HIGH CHAPARRAL (IRE) hemare

She was third behind JUST A WASP and X MARSCAY in the Wet Bikini while running her highest SP. In that race, she came from way back to secure show. She might prefer shorter distances.

PARIAH (AUS) out of RIP VAN WINKLE (IRE) mare

Won the 8f G2 Spring Hill Stakes last out and beat the boys in a 8f allowance before that. Modestly bred with a young stallion. This horse is a stalker. She has been in the money in all her starts.

This is a seriously talented field and it will be difficult to handicap and pick the winner. Yuni will likely go to the lead but can she hold on to it? Lightng99 has three of the most modestly bred fillies in the field, including my favorite, can they prevail? Savory Shapes and Yuni have two of the best jockeys in this field and although I do not knock M Kelly, he’s the only one who’s win percentage is under 20, will the jockey decide the race? There are too many variables to consider and I am not talented enough of a handicapper. Good luck to all!

If anyone would like to view the spreadsheet I generated this write up from, it’s https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RQ1T5rnwyg3n1VFW74s7R-i2UFBsILOO7bSKwoQOnDw/edit?usp=sharing. The second sheet is from yosss.

This is my first article. 🙂  I hope you enjoyed it and I would appreciate any constructive criticism you can provide.
