14 JUVENILE COLTS MAKE TRIP TO KENTUCKY FOR THE $750,000 G1 END OF THE LINE FUTURITY

G3 winners NOT YET REGISTERED and THE ROAD TO VEGAS headline a talented group of 14 colts in the G1 End Of The Line Futurity to be contested in Kentucky over 8.5 furlongs on fast dirt.

Here is the field:

DRACULA X draws the inside post and is listed at 10/1. Trained by jockeyrobledo, this bay colt is the most experienced runner in the field with 8 career starts. Sired by CHIVALROUS (STREET CRY) and the 5th runner out of THREE BLIND MICE (CHIVALROUS x INVINCIBLE SPIRIT (IRE) x SECRETARIAT) with one being a listed stakes winner. DRACULA X broke his maiden in his second start. Since then he has been unable to reach the winners circle but has been competitive in his races. He has 5 runner-up finishes to his credit with one coming in the G2 Memorial Day and one in the 8-furlong G3 Trixy Delight’s Special where he ran his fastest speed rating of 89. He looks to be positioned in the back half of the field early and will attempt to close here.

MSHASHALAMI Is listed at 11/1 and will be breaking from post 2. Trained by pleasnttap, this bay colt has 7 career starts with 3 wins. Sired by MSHAWISH (MEDAGLIA D’ORO) and the 2nd runner out of THIRTY YEARS WAR (GHOSTZAPPER x DYNAFORMER x A.P. INDY). After a close finish in his debut, he broke his maiden in his second start. His next outing was in an Allowance NW2L where he came from just off the early pace to score his second win. In his 4th race he faced a G3 field where he was a little further back from the pace and was unable to make up much ground in the stretch. His next 3 races were in the Allowance ranks where he finished 3rd in the first 2 races and then stretched out to 8 furlongs in an NW3L where he finished strong and drew off to a 4 ¼ length win. His top speed rating is not as high as some in this race, but he may show improvement off his last race.

FAKE NEWS NATION breaks from post 3at odds of 14/1. mtk76 trained, this bay colt is sired by TROJAN NATION (STREET CRY) and is the 8th runner out of STROMLO (DISTORTED HUMOR x STORM CAT x HOIST THE FLAG). Her first 2 runners were listed stakes winners. FAKE NEWS NATION has had 5 races with 2 wins and all his starts being in the money. He broke his maiden in his 3rd attempt and quickly followed that up with his second win in an Allowance NW2L. His last start was in the Killing Fumes listed stake where he set the early pace and faded late in his first try at 2 turns earning an 87-speed rating. If his stamina improved off his last, he may finish well here.

I FEEL SICK is one of 3 that is listed at 7/1 and will be breaking from post 4. This given trainee is a bay scratch bred colt sired by WAR FRONT (DANZIG) with DEPUTY MINISTER as the DS and BROAD BRUSH the DDS. I FEEL SICK has picked up 4 wins in 6 career starts. He broke his maiden in his 2nd start and followed that effort picking up another win in his 3rd start against Allowance NW2L foes. His 4th start was against listed stakes runners where he was not able to get into contention early. He stretched out to 7.5 furlongs in an Allowance NW3L and sat off the early pace and finished strong to win by 1 ½ lengths. His last outing was at 8 furlongs he picked up his listed stakes win in the I Need Dramamine by 1 ½ lengths earning a 90-speed rating in the process.

THE GHOSTLY CAT is listed at 18/1 and will be breaking from post 5. Trained by baggio, this bay colt is a scratch bred sired by GHOSTZAPPER (AWESOME AGAIN) with STORM CAT and SEATTLE SLEW as the DS and DDS. THE GHOSTLY CAT has 2 wins to his credit in 5 career starts. Breaking his maiden in his 2nd career start at 6 furlongs, he then stretched out ½ furlongs in each of his next 2 starts against allowance foes where he finished 3rd in each. His last start was at 8 furlongs where he beat an Allowance NW2L field with an 83-speed rating. His top speed is not quite enough to take this field but with his pedigree I would expect improvement and will be interesting to see if he gets it here.

PIRATE TYPHOON will break from post 6 and is at odds of 8/1. Trained by jubalrutledge, this scratch bred roan colt is sired by ARROGATE (UNBRIDLED’S SONG) with the DS and DDS being DEPUTY MINISTER and FORTY NINER. PIRATE TYPHOON is credited with 2 wins in 6 career starts. He also broke his maiden in his 2nd start. Since then he has had 4 consecutive listed stakes fields. His first 3 attempts at the listed level saw him finish with a 2nd and 3rd finish in sprints. His last at the listed level was at 8 furlongs where he closed strongly and drew off to a 3-length win in the Sword of Darkness with a 90-speed rating. He looks like he fits well here.

ONYX EXCHANGE is another given trainee listed at 7/1 and will be breaking from post 7. This bay colt is sired by CURLIN (SMART STRIKE) with DANZIG and SEATTLE SLEW as the DS and DDS. ONYX EXCHANGE has won 3 out of his 4 career starts. Breaking his maiden at first asking he followed that up with a win at the Allowance NW2L level. In his first try against listed stakes foes he set the early fractions before fading late but still picking up a 3rd place finish. His last race was in the 8 furlong The Scientizer where he once again set the early pace and expanded his lead to 4 lengths at the 3rd call and hung on to win by a head and earned a 92-speed rating. He adds a ½ furlong here and looks like a tough competitor if he can get the distance.

ZENKIN is the longest shot on the board and draws post number 8. Trained by ldyssecret, this light grey colt is sired by GOING COMMANDO (UNBRIDLED’S SONG) and is the 2nd runner out of HALO THE KING (BERNARDINI x KINGMAMBO x STORM CAT). ZENKIN has been in the money in all 4 of his career starts with 2 wins to his credit. After finishing 3rd in his first 2 starts he picked up his first career win in his 3rd. His last start was at the 8-furlong distance where he rallied from the back of the field to pick up an Allowance NW2L win by ¾ of a length. The 82-speed rating that he earned in his last start is a little light for this field and will need to show improvement while adding an additional ½ furlong.

ALISTAIR will be breaking from post 9 at odds of 14/1. Trained by awkwardandchai, this light grey colt is sired by MACLEAN’S MUSIC out of the G1 winning mare DAMASQUERADE (CREATIVE CAUSE x SPECTACULAR BID x INDIAN CHARLIE). ALISTAIR has 2 wins in 5 career starts. He started off his career with a splash winning his first 2 races with his 2nd win being at the Allowance NW2L level. His next 3 starts 2 at the G3 level and one at the listed stakes level. He has earned a 2nd and a 3rd in those G3 races. His only start over 6 furlongs was in a 7-furlong listed where he led early and faded in the stretch. He adds 1 ½ furlongs to that race here and will try to ration out his speed to hold on in the stretch. His dam was a G1 winner at this distance but looks like he will need to improve on his top speed rating of 89 here.

NOT YET REGISTERED draws post 10 and will be sent off at 9/1. Trained by atthewire, this bay colt sired by EL CORREDOR (MR. GREELEY) is out of the SW mare WOKINGHAM (TIZNOW x ELITE SQUADRON x YES IT’S TRUE). She has produced one other stakes winner out of 4 runners. NOT YET REGISTERED has picked up 4 wins in his 7 starts. He broke his maiden in his debut. His next 2 starts were at the Allowance NW2L level for TUR locals where he picked up a 3rd and 4th place finish. In his next 2 he picked up back to back scores in Allowance races for TUR locals. His last have been in Graded races where he ran 4th in a G2 and picked up a very nice score in the 8.5-furlong G3 Buckeye Juvenile with a speed rating of 97. He comes back at the same distance and will be very tough here is he duplicates that effort and does not bounce off his last effort.

HUMEROUS MO will be breaking out of post 11 at odds of 10/1. Trained by selurnivek, this undefeated bay colt is sired by UNCLE MO (INDIAN CHARLIE) and is the first runner out of HUMOROUS DAN (DISTORTED HUMOR x BERNARDINI x UNBRIDLED’S SONG). With 2 wins in his first 2 starts, and his highest-level win coming at the Allowance NW2L level and running his top speed rating of 90, HUMEROUS MO makes a big step up in class but my guess is that he will be up to the task. This lightly raced colt adds an additional ½ furlong here and if he can show improvement with the increase in distance he could be in for a nice share of this purse.

THE ROAD TO VEGAS will break from post 12 and will be sent to post at odds of 8/1. This bay colt is the 3rd in the field trained by given. THE ROAD TO VEGAS is sired by QUALITY ROAD (ELUSIVE QUALITY) with DEPUTY MINISTER as the DS and UNBRIDLED as the DDS. This colt has 4 wins in 4 starts. He started in the maiden ranks, took an Allowance in his second race, picked up his first stakes win at 7 furlongs in the Chocolate or Rainbow and took home a very nice win in the G3 Trixy Delight’s Special passing 9 horses in the final stages of the race and picked up a 91 speed rating. THE ROAD TO VEGAS has earned the most in the field and looks to add to that total here.

DEATH FROM BEHIND draws post 13 and will go to post as the 3rd runner with odds of 7/1. This bay colt is trained by lenny271 and is sired by Uncle Mo based on DOOM OF EMPIRES (FRANKEL (GB) x SEEKING THE GOLD x LYPHARD). DEATH FROM BEHIND has 1 career win in 4 starts. He broke his maiden in his debut when he stalked the early pace before taking over in the stretch. His next 2 starts were at 7 furlongs at the Allowance NW2L level where he was runner-up in both. His last start was at 8 furlongs in the Give Him Treats stakes where he was a little further back early but still managed a 2nd place finish. His top speed rating is currently an 89. He adds another ½ furlong here and will need to show improvement and get over his recent fear of the camera to take top prize here.

TRIPPICIST draws the outside post and will be sent off at 12/1. This light grey colt is trained by mightyforego and is sired by TRIPPI (END SWEEP) and is the 3rd runner out of TAPITSTRY (TAPIT x STORM CAT x UNBRIDLED). TRIPPICIST has picked up 3 wins in 5 career starts. He broke his maiden in a SAF local maiden and then stepped into the Dynaprospector Dirt Juvenile where he picked up his first listed stakes win. Facing G2 foes in his next at 6 furlongs he was unable to get on track. His next start was at 7 furlongs in an Allowance NW3L where he employed a new tactic of leading every call. His last race was in the 6.5 The Upper New York Special where he was just off the pace early but was unable to catch the early pacesetter. He adds 1.5 furlongs to his longest race here and will need to improve his top speed rating of 85 to be in the mix.
