Fillies and mares, 3 years old
Todays in Mexico we welcome 6 fillies who will try to determine who the best routing filly is. The better ones in this race are most likely to become better with age and we will here of them again next year. There are some fillies in this race that were entered by the trainer as this was a weak field. So they do not stand a chance.

Today’s favourite can start at the inner gate and will be running her 6th Stakes already. She has been cleverly placed in low field Stakes and always managed to finish on the board. She is out of the mare DYNAMIC PYEMAN, who strangely enough was a dirtsprinter. This daughter clearly loves the turf and loves the distance. Her last two performances were not so good (finishing 3rd at respectable length in an allowance last time) so she definitely will have to improve her act and make sure she posts a +90 SP again. Hopefully jockey Buck (24.2%) will help her with that.
2 3F SUNDAY ON FRIDAY jpritchett 6/1 Sunday Break x AP Indy x Cozzene
Record: 9 races: 3-0-0
This filly has won three races on dirt, including a Stakes over 10f and has proven in the beginning of her career she does not really like the turf. She comes back from 3 dismal performances on dirt and a bit desperate her trainer tries her in this low field routing turfrace. According to the bookies who have based themselves on speed the odds or not to bed, still I don’t give her any chance as I think she will again show her disappreciation for the turf.
3 3F FANTASTIC BOOMBAH sdubya 2/1 Fantastic Light x Danehill x Rainbow Quest
Record: 10 races: 2-5-0
This seemingly talented filly opened up her career with a maidenwin and has shown slow progress since. She started as a maiden a year ago and one year later her speeds have progressed to the low 90’s on 9f turf. She was a frontrunner in the begin of her career but it looks like her trainer has been playing with the jockeysettings and in her last race she came from the midpack to second place only two lengths behind the leader. I think therefore her trainer now is stretching her to 12f and this small field Stakes is ideal for that matter. We might see this filly bo(o)mb today
4 3F JOBBB PETE doodlesgbs 4/1 Point Given x Secretariat x Affirmed
Record: 4 races: 1-0-0
Difficult filly to judge in this race. She only did run 4 times before and is on rest since begin February this year. I do not know whether this was the plan or whether her trainer left the game for a couple of months. Anyway, she easily won her debut on turf finishing 3 lengths in front of the rest of the field. She immediately was entered in a G3 where she gave a decent performance, finishing 5th out of 11. The last race she ran was a Stakes over 8.5 furlong where she started just behind the leader but faded in the end to finish 4th. It is anyones guess what this filly will do on 12f today, how she has developed, but I guess she definitely will need a race to set her up again for next time.
5 3F UNOTURFKIRBY unokirby 6/1 Montjeu x El Prado x Dynaformer
Record: 2 races: 1-1-0
Only two races this kirbyfilly has run and both were decent performances, but not more than that. She won her maiden on dirt last time but has not been able to post +80 speeds. Will have no chance today I fear.
