Mother Sadie Bonanza Stakes,ran over 14 furlongs on the firm lawn for

fillies and mares 3 yo +.7 runners take their shot at the $90000

purse.Lets take a look at them in racecard order.

5 yo Mark of Esteem mare out of a grade G mare.Winner of 9 races with

3 seconds and 5 thirds for career winnings of $175589. Third lto in

the 10.5 furlongs The Fast Slew Stakes ran on the green.Recorded a 94

that day.Has yet to get her head in front in Stakes level,although

almost a year ago ran 2nd in The Peach Leslie Challenge Stakes and my

feelings are she may be shooting for a place again.J Wessleman takes

2) Tete in a Zashaan 213211 Wisbyzews

4 yo scratchbred mare by Zabeel.10 races 4 first 4 seconds and a third

for career earnings of $85562.For me the most interesting runner in

the race.Bold frontrunning type who is takles Stakes company and 14

furlongs for the first time.Showed real improvement lto to lead from

trap to wire to win a $22000 nw4l allowance at Sweden.Ran a pb speed

figure that day of 95.Looks far too big to me at 10/1 and if

continuing to show improvement may even be good enough to take this.On

the downside loses her regular jockey.J Dyson is in the irons.


3)Laphroaig 213130 Waremblem8

4 yo Tapit mare out of a grade D mare.2 times Stakes winner and also

graded stakes placed over this very trip.Career record of 19 runs 5

wins 4 seconds and 3 thirds for career earnings of $269917.Flopped

last time in a grade 3 over 11 furlongs but this was not her true

form.Before that was placed in a grade 2 over 12 furlongs preceded by

a fine win in a 12 furlongs Stakes at Arizona,where she ran her joint

highest speed figure of 100 to win by 3/4 length.track champ P

4 yo mare.By Fantastic Light out of a grade D mare.27 races 10 wins 5

seconds and a third for career earnings of $314208.Broke her stakes

duck lto when leading from trap to wire to lift The DKY`s Skunk

Challenge at this track and over this same trip.Looked impressive that

day to win easily by 4 1/2 lengths recording a speed figure of

101,just 1 point shy of her pb.A repeat of that would see her prove

very difficult to beat and quite rightly goes off a warm order

favourite at 9/5.Going for a quickfire 4 timer.W Whals rides.


5)Hello I Love You 311121 Australia

3 yo scratchbred Green Desert filly.13 runs 4 wins 3 seconds and 3

thirds for career earnings of $125749.In fine fettle at present and

won her maiden stakes lto.Always up with the pace she took the lead by

halfway and quickened to win The Cherokee Run Bonanza Stakes,over 11

furlongs by 3 1/2 lengths recording her best ever speed figure of

97.However stamina doubts must be proven wrong over this 14 furlongs

trip for 2 runs back she had a go at 12 furlongs and finished 2nd

with an 89.That sort of figure will not be good enough here and I will

be keeping a watching brief only.the experienced M Day is on board

this 6/1 shot.


6)Shezamaniac 301131 willyam20

4 yo scratchbred mare out of Medaglia D`oro.12 runs 5 wins 2 seconds 2

thirds for career earnings of $165299.Another interesting runner who

is in fine form having won her first stakes lto,over 13 furlongs at

Eastern Kentucky with a pb speed figure of 99.Comes from off the pace

which must give her a good chance of getting this 14 furlongs

trip.Trainer must have high hopes for this one as she has crossed the

great track divide to showcase her talents this side of the pond.R

4 yo scratchbred mare by Montjeu.  27 runs 7 wins 2 seconds and 3 thirds

for career earnings of $127940.Not much one can really say about this

outsider as her past performances offer little hope.P  erhaps her trainer

couldn`t find any opportunities in the claiming/starter ranks but it

looks like to me she is here to make up the numbers.Beaten 15 1/2

lengths lto in a 13 furlongs stakes at Epsom and I for one would be

very surprised is she got any closer today.  Poor P Funk has drawn the

short straw and takes the ride aboard this 24/1 outsider,
