S. Strawberry Bonanza

Of the many hopefuls in this race including some very promising horses it was Dreams of Treason(KY) trained and owned by bluelights who took out the S. Strawberry Bonanza today over 7 furlongs. With a good start and a beautiful position just off the leaders throughout the race he was always going to be a contender down the final.  But in the end, he swept to the front with good speed and didn’t look back.  Good debut win at the Stakes level, speed rating of 97, good odds, everyone’s happy including the trainer!

Hello Im Mr Ed (AUS) was certainly the surprise runner for me.   And I love aussie registered horses!  Trainer grassman certainly had some belief in him.  Jockey was obviously told to get to the front and stay there for as long as you can.  Thats what they did, and were only ran down in the straight by Dreams of Treason.  Very nice run and the trainer and horse got a very nice second placing here today.

Magnificent Hero was also sweeping down the straight after sitting towards the rear of the field for much of the race.  Maybe started the run a little late but anyways was going to be hard to catch the winner.  Nice run for third though and Id say we will see this one back again at this level.

The other runners including the two I liked in Articulator and A Jungle King coming in fifth and sixth and Angry Alex was disappointingly still out of form and came in the unlucky last.
