Favorites fall again in the Crevis En La Burgs(IRE) stakes

Dynacity(KY) took the field gate to wire to capture his first career stakes victory in this week’s Crevis En La Burgs(IRE) Stakes. He posted one of his best runs on the season on the off track, to grab his third win of the season, and the fourth of his career. He inches closer to that 100K earnings mark, boosting his career earnings to $67979 in his sixteen career races. At stakes victory at long distance for this three year old jumps him to a ranking of 52 in the three year old Long Turf Division. Once again, this race was hard on the favorites, and though no one broke the bank, at least there were some payouts at the betting window, with the winner paying $8.80 $3.70 $2.10 across the board. The favorites followed him home, contributing to a $19.50 exacta payout and a $27.90 payout in the trifecta.

Dynacity(KY) took charge at the gate, breaking out front and easoily shaking off the pursuit to give himself some breathing room in the early going. The deeper closers seemed content to let him spin it out, and didn’t pressure him early. He took advantage of this and opened the gap to five and a half furlongs by the time the reached the halfway mark. As they crossed the half, Dynacity(KY) put on a burst of speed, opening the gap even wider, and as they headed sown the stretch, he was still holding on the just over five furlongs. Muzdaher(KY) and Motor City Madman(JPN) made a late run at the leader, starting to eat up the cushion late, but they ran out of real estate, and Dynacity(KY) crossed the wire two and a half lengths ahead of the surging Muzdaher(KY). Motor City Madman(JPN) took third place honors, four and a quarter out at the wire.
