Filly out of an “E” rated mare that was precocious.  This gal takes after her momma.  Six wins from ten starts says it all.  She is the horse to beat in this, especially coming off a nice win at the distance in her last stakes.  The “good” track shouldn’t pose a problem as she has three off track wins already.  Sitting on the rail is a plus where she’ll save ground with a good break.  Well deserving of her favorite status.  J

This nice filly out of a “G” rated mare will have her work cut out for her.  She, like the fav, like the front end and will have to step up her SP’s to stay with her.  Jock Wimpy will have to rate her well so as to have something left in the tank for the turn for home.  She seems to be comfortable in the off going, so that’s a plus.  Coming off her stakes win in last will also add confidence.

The only progeny stakes winner from a “B” rated mare.  This filly had an extremely good 2yo season.  She will need to improve in her 3yo season if she is to compete at this level.  She has a very good record on the turf and that “may” be the road to the future.  I say “may”, because the switch back to dirt in this could be a smart play.  Trainer hoping this is a wake up call.  Jock Silver will get the best she has to offer.

Scratch bred that has been running well over her head lately.  She hasn’t proven to date that she can win at this level as she is still eligible for NW2L.  That aside, she still has the SP’s to be in the mix here.  She has two pluses here; top jock and she’s one for one on an off track.  Early speed in her last distance event should have her primed for this.  However, she needs to show well.  If not, going through conditions or a switch to turf would be advisable.

Scratch bred filly starting to bloom.  This gal appears to be sitting on a big race.  Since switching to dirt she has improved greatly.  This sets up perfectly for her off pace move.  The question of off track should be overcome by her ability to handle turf.  I like the upset here. J
