We are honoured to have the Royal Family in attendance today Her Royal Highness has selected GREEK RANSOM in honour of the duke . Prince Charles has pumped for one of the favourite runners GONE DEEP and Prince William for PETITE ACT(GB) . Some other celebrities are here George Michael’s likes UNKEPT RESTROOM and Michael Jackson has opted for ESSENCE OF SOOZ as he likes the trainers name . The weather is fine and the track firm so lets take a look at the field of 8 as they parade in the paddock.

PP1 ESSENCE OF SOOZ uglymonkey J Savory 7/1

Midfield runner who has found a return to sprinting to her liking with 2 fine stakes runs in her last 2 starts . She is very versatile having performed in top company on dirt and turf at various distances and at this stage of 4yrold career this daughter of ESSENCE OF DUBAI could be expected to improve dramatically . Has yet to show much at graded level but gets fine chance to do so here.

PP2 CRYPTO MESA sjmeola6 P Funk 7/2

The ruling second favourite for this race SKY MESA 5yrold trained by one of the better trainers in the sim . Will get back in running but will be aided by small field in this and should have little trouble securing a run in the stretch. She has won 11 races in her career to date and has produced many 100+ sp ratings . Has had 3 graded runs two which were on wet tracks the one dry track run produced a storming finish in the G3-Turn Off The Alarm Stakes over 6f coming from 7l of them at the furlong peg to end up 2l from the winner and this looks good pointer to success in this race.

PP3 GONE DEEP tntfarms J Wesselman 9/2

All 4 wins so far are on dirt as would be expected of a daughter of GRAND SLAM but also has some worthy placed form on turf 3 graded tries so far have been disappointing and will be a case of wait and see here as to wether that will change . Will race handy to lead and may hold on for some of the cash.

PP4 PETITE ACT(GB) wolfi H Philso 9/1

Allowance runner who’s early career revolved around classic distance racing her trainer has recently returned here to sprint racing with good results last 3 races have resulted in 2 wins and a fine 3rd in a stakes race. Stepping up to graded racing is the only question mark here front runner who will take a lot of pulling back.

PP5 UNKEPT RESTROOM isitingood P Harzheim 4/1

Has the services of the top jockey on this track which is a major plus a 4yrold by GULCH she has failed so far in grade racing but has done enough in stakes racing to be considered a chance in this race where most of the runners have not had many graded races . Win 2 starts back over 7.5 f in 106 sp is a great effort and should see her with plenty of support.

PP6 POWER OF PEGASUS II crimeboss M Day 9/1

This 6yrold by FUSAICHI PEGASUS is an accomplished sprinter who has won 17 races rare in any sim’s racehorse . One of the few grade winners in this field she has performed very well at this distance and may be the one for longer in this race has a good jockey and will race handy and keep out of trouble for big finish.

PP7 GREEK RANSOM slewsback3 V Vincent 9/1

Another 9/1 shot who has raced mostly over 8f lately G1 placed over 8f the trainer say’s that if they go hard early it may come down to stamina and his mare may run them into the ground has also got form in the longer sprint races well bred to run mighty turf sprint.

PP8 MUMBAI chilcoat R Williams 3/1

Last but not least we come to the outright favourite for this race. Richly bred 5yrold SADLER’S WELLS x KINGMAMBO x SEATTLE SLEW she has had 12 wins and over $1,000,000 in earning racing very successfully over 8f of late she is a triple G1 winner which puts her head and shoulder above the other in that category has won at this distance earlier in her career and her dam SOUND AND FURY also won stakes sprint races . Should trail leaders and poke her nose through approaching the furlong peg. Her trainer has little worry about her handling the sprint racing in this.
