The Bargain Bred Series features two year old fillies taking to the dirt for a full circuit around the mile dirt oval here in the Meadow Star Juvenile.  A field of eight freshman ladies will compete for the winner”s share of the $150,000 purse,  and for the lasting recognition of earning a Bargain Bowl championship.  The dirt surface should be fast as the lovely spring weather continues.  Lykens Flash,  Erase My Mind,  and Alpha Particle renew their rivalry,  with Lykens Flash seeking a third straight BBRS stakes victory.  All of these ladies are scratch bred babies,  so let’s take a closer look at their past performances and see how they stack up.

Deserving morning line favorite took The Fizzy Miss BBRS listed stakes at this route in latest,  notching an 82 SP# coming from last of four,  with Erase My Mind and Alpha Particle in her dust.  Bay filly triumphed in The Della Street BBRS listed at 6 panels one before that,  nabbing a 73 SP# moving from last of five,  with Miss Kipp and Alpha Particle trailing behind.  One back of that,  she closed well for 2nd in a BBRS allowance at 7 furlongs,  nailing a 77 SP#.  Has beaten her main competition in this event in prior outings,  will be tough to beat for the lglong4ok2more racing group.

Speedy chestnut filly opened a wide lead last out before succumbing to Lykens Flash in the Fizzy Miss listed stakes at this trip,  garnering an 80 SP#.  One before that she wired a BBRS allowance at 7 panels,  holding for the win after opening a daylight early lead,  grabbing a 75 SP#.  She broke her maiden first time out in prior start at 6 furlongs in a hot race,  getting a 59 SP# in a front running effort.  Plano13 trainee will try to go coast to coast and avenge her only loss,  the one to catch.

Owner/trainer planobrgn2 sends out this bay miss off a fading 3rd behind Lykens Flash and Erase My mind in the Fizzy Miss listed at this distance,  earning a 73 SP# after chasing the early leader.  One back of that she was an even 4th behind Lykens Flash in The Della Street listed at 6 furlongs,  posting a 66 SP#.  She broke her maiden at 7 panels in her previous outing in her first dirt try,  wearing down the pace setter for a 69 SP#.  Will need to improve to handle the favorite,  but should land a minor award.

Front runner was in over her head last time over in the URC  Breeders residency listed stakes at 8.5 furlongs,  coming home last of 19 after flashing some early speed,  lucking into a 64 SP#.  In her prior run,  bay filly was a bang up 2nd to Lykens Flash in The Della Street,   holding the place after setting the pace and lasting for a 72 SP#.  One back of that was an early fractions setting 3rd in a BBRS allowance at 7 panels,  again finishing behind Lykens Flash,  landing a 74 SP#.  Runner from the bargainbredlbc racing operation should be part of a front end battle,  could last for a share if recovered from last out beating.

Tried the dirt for the first time last try,  getting up for 2nd in a BBRS allowance at 7 furlongs,  copping a 65 SP# moving from last of four in a change of tactics.  Bay honey tired to 4th in prior run in The Starinsky listed stakes at 6 panels on the weeds,  casting a 57 SP# after pressing the early pace.  One before that she tired to 4th after setting the pace in a BBRS allowance at 7 furlongs,  catching a 71 SP#.  Txknight runner can’t keep up with the other front runners here,  repeat of tactical change last out may help her land a minor award on top try.

Brown babe was a gaining 3rd last try in a BBRS allowance at 7 furlongs,  scoring a 65 SP#.  She seemed to get underway too late to better a 5th place run one before that in a  BBRS allowance at 7 panels,  snaring a 71 SP#.  She broke her maiden first time out in prior run at 6 furlongs,  stabbing a 67 SP# in a stretch running victory.  Closer from the 2hkbarfranc stables could make her presence felt in the lane,  may be along for a share.

Won her debut impressively at this distance,  battling on the front end early in a BBRS maiden contest,  zipping a 74 SP# with something left.  Lgbost9z trainee may contribute to some snappy early fractions with this group,  could surprise the favorite with expected improvement off first run.

Last but certainly not least is this consistent bay filly,  who finally broke her maiden last time out in a BBRS turf event at 7 furlongs,  pegging a 71 SP# in a stalking trip.  One back of that she got to the front but settled for 2nd in a BBRS maiden turf race,  popping a 72 SP# returning to the weeds.  Her only run on the dirt was a close 3rd in a BBRS maiden try in her prior start,  pasting a 68 SP# in an on the pace run.  Planobrgn2 charge should be just off the early leaders,  but will she have any thing left to hold off the favorite ?
