That Nut is too tough!

By ITCH

Bob123g’s MAPLE WALNUT BG ($25.50) sat just off the pace in third, catching the perfect “garden spot” trip, and proved the best here Saturday in the $40,000 CRYPTOLIGHTNING BONANZA for 2yos.

As he often does, leading jockey S. Tate rode a smart race, cruising early as APT TO WIN and ALY’S BUCKLAND fought for the lead. He ranged up easily and took the lead at the head of the stretch.

Then, it was a matter of S. Tate outriding J. Maloney in the stretch, as he often does. Maloney was on the place horse, WYNDIXIE for airjordyn. He got close, but could not get by.

Buzzfarm almost scored contest points of his own, but his Apt to Win was nosed out for the show money by SOUTHBOUND SAUREZ.
