GradeIII Moony Stakes in France

The Moony Stakes a Grade III for two year old fillies over seven and a half furlongs on firm turf is being run at France this Saturday.

A field of ten fillies are matched up in this and according to the market board it is a wide open affair with any one of the ten improving to collect the prize.

Madhibby  has the 9/2 favourite Fast Rise (IRE) by (Fasilyev) with two wins from three starts. This classy filly won at her first two runs which included a Stakes and than at her next run ran a good seconded in a Grade3. Her racing style is to sit off the pace and rattle home and this distance should suit her, and she will coming home with a wet sail over the conclusion.

Hornedfrog that jumping, croaking trainer has Benefactress (IRE) filly by (Generous) at 5/1. This regal looking filly is two from two, and even though she is moving up in class and dropping back from eight furlongs, has the appearance of class about her. She is another who will be coming home at a great rate of knots and maybe even more suited at a longer journey.

Seriusflit has the classic bred filly Long Cool Rainbow   by (Rainbow Quest) also at 5/1. She is two from six and is already the winner of a Grde3. Since that win she has struggled in a Grde2 and at her last run a Grade1, and in between those runs she ran a fair seconded in a Stakes. This is not going to be any easier for her and her future may be in longer trips.

Ssutton’s  filly Scarlet Lady  by (Red Ransom) is also at 5/1. This impressive filly has three from four and the last two runs have resulted in strong Stakes wins, . She improved immensely at her last start and ran a great time, she appears to like sitting on the pace and than flashes home. She will have the run of the race and looks the foreman material here.

Hoofworks filly Penn And Teller by (Tribal Rule) is at 9/1. This lass is hard to put a tag on as at her first two runs were on the dirt where she won an Allowance at her debut, she than stumbled in a Stakes and hoofworks than stepped her out on turf where at her only run she came finished well to get a seconded in an Allowance. This is a giant step up and maybe a little early for her but she does posses talent .

Aalusive  has the (Diesis) filly The Blue Sword (GB) and showing 8/1 on the tote. This striking filly has four from four and her last two runs have resulted in very stylish Stakes win. Even if her times aren’t the best in this field she has won all her starts and winning form is great form and she has improved at every start. She will be on the pace and though the others will be charging home I expect this lass won’t lie down and they will have their work cut out getting the better of her.

Ibanez has the (Stravinsky) filly If You Ever Go and her odds are 9/1.The winner of one from five she may need more time and a longer journey before she hits her straps, though we know two year olds can improve out of sight from one run to another and for some part of the race she should be near the lead.

Across The Sunrise  a regally bred filly by (Sadler’s Wells ) has that doyen of the printed word and astute trainer in roys and is at 10/1. She didn’t appreciate her first start on dirt so roys switched her to the grass and eventhough she hasn’t set the world on fire has shown steady improvement. This one may be beyond her at this stage she should come into her own when the distances increase.

Hot Silk(SAF) by (Horse Chesnut) has dragnil putting the finishing touches to her and is at 11/1. She won at her debut and since than has run three placings, including a third in a Stakes. Once again this may be too hard for her but she is another one who is going to come into her own as the journeys increase.

If forced to pick a winner I would go for 4 from 5 with number 6 the best value runner in the field
