FUNK CAN brings out the boys

Five two-year old colts will compete in the FUNK CARD Memorial at Cajun Downs on Saturday. Each will be coming in with some credentials for previous trips.  JADE PIRATEER (Jade Hunter x Deputy Minister) heads the field (8/5) comes in off of a stakes winning trip his last time out.  He has shown a preference to being a late runner, and will be shortening up in distance- so will he have enough real estate for his late charge? COLOR ME BALD (Smarty Jones x Southern Halo) broke his maiden first time with an impressive showing (96 pts).  Ownership may be a bit disappointed with his lack of progress since that winning trip.  Expect him to be on the lead out of the gate.  SIM CITY STORY (Saint Liam x Gone West) broke his maiden last time out and will get plenty of play in this event. Ran a stalking trip with plenty in his take when he made his move. He won going away. COMMANTHEINDIANRUB(AUS) (Commands(Aus) x Rahy) comes in off of an allowance win.  He was tested in a stakes event two races back and was a slight disappointment.    IAMALEGEND (Joker x Shananie) winner of lone start – this bargin bred may be a more serious contender than his morning line odds indicate.  He may be making a late charge with JADE PIRATEER.

A good solid field of runners in the event.  I would not be surprised if you see some of them in future higher classed events.
