Fax At Dawn Looking For Five In A Row
Fax At Dawn Looking For Five In A Row
The Beat Goes On (4/1) is a lovely daughter of Mineshaft and is trained by top trainer Marsattack. The rangy filly has two nice wins from five starts and both were on the grass. She beat 19 others to break her maiden in a restricted allowance and then did not win again until she hit another large field of 19 others. She is lacking about 15 for her ideal number but she does have graded stakes experience, finishing 6th in The Grade I, Kyhorsemen Debutant last time out.
Jarrod will saddle his well-conformed Lando filly, The Track Bias (8/1). She has only a maiden win under her belt and finished well back in her two stakes tries. Her win did come on the grass and her trainer feels she belongs here, chalking her losses up to experience and he could well be right.
Fax At Dawn(3/1) will break from post four and is by Roman Ruler. She is ranked # 48 and is ably trained by Paydirt41. The petite filly has an enviable record of four wins from five starts and is three for three on the grass. She is looking for her fifth win in a row and with her improving speed figures she may well get it..
Taboo Chant (7/1) is by High Yield and trained by Taboo1. While she is still eligible NW2L she has been first or second every start but one and that was when she shinbucked. She took some time off and then in her first race back after a layoff she was a closing second last time out in The Nana’s Girl Memorial. That should have tightened her up for this. I think she may be the one to beat.
The first time starter drew the outside much to the relief of many of the trainers. King Uwain (2/1) is an oddly named daughter of Desert King and is trained by Mikc. She has some bullet works and that, along with her breeding is probably why she was made the favorite.
The six young ladies should make this an interesting race from all points and we want to wish all the entrants the best of luck.
