EAAA LOOK UNSTOPPABLE EAAA V Epsomdowns res challenge 9 furlongs allowance dirt 4 YO+

Its race 5 in the EAAA V Epsomdowns res challenge .By now EAAA are favourite to have a big lead as we come to this 9 furlong allowance. EAAA are certainly favourite to lift the majority of the points in this race.

THE ENTRIES

SOUTH PHILLY    Moleh                 10/1              T Smith

4 YO COLT

Epsomdowns

Son of Silver  Deputy capable of smart form on his day. 2 runs back recorded a 104in an 8.5 furlongs allowance finishing 2nd. Disappointed last time out but has been given time to get over it. Suspicions that 8.5 furlongs may be his best trip but respected nevertheless.

THE END FORTIES      Bbudgies     25/1          J Diggs

4 YO COLT

EAAA

Winner of 2 of his 18 races, this one hinted at a return to form running a 95 in an 8.5 furlongs $100000 claimer. Had 2 previous runs at the trip and hasn’t covered himself in glory. On the plus side he may still be improving but would have to improve significantly to be placed.

BOLWEISER               Epsomtj           99/1            F Sharlow

8 YO HORSE

Epsomdowns

Whilst his record of 2 wins in 61 races hardly inspires confidence neither does his poor speed figures. Jockey F Sharlow was heard to be cursing his luck when the race announcements were made. I do believe that the bookies have got it wrong with this one though. If you ran this race 100 times old Bolweiser wouldn’t win once.

SHARK BITE              Coolk               7/1             A Edwards

4 YO COLT

EAAA

This one has a lot going for it. Classily bred, good form over the trip and one of the most successful trainers in sim world. Returning to the same trip where he won the 9 furlongs JAIL JOE special stakes with a 106 earlier  in the season, this is many punters idea of the winner

TWOREDTWOREDTWORAH    Epsom     12/1    D Bowie

5 YO HORSE

Epsomdowns

Twored has been in really good form this term, never finishing out of the first 3 in 7 races and winning 4 of these. But im gonna stick my neck out and totally dismiss his chances out of hand as a non stayer.

FOLLOW YOUR STARS       Pocket8       33/1           C Spoerer

4 YO COLT

Epsomdowns

Has been badly out of form recently  and even if he ran his best ever race over 9 furlongs, would still be staring at horse backside. No real hope

TWO WELL FANS           Bigscoobi         9/1        C Crawford

4 YO COLT

Epsomdowns

Smartly bred son of Lear fan, this game frontrunner has performed well this season, winning last time out over 8.5 furlongs with a 104. He may have to produce around about that figure to feature over this 9. My suspicions  is that he may just set up the race perfectly for the EAAA finishers.

DELIVER THE GOODS    Cocalico        33/1       B Dawg

5 YO HORSE

Epsomdowns

This one is most unlikely to live up to his name. This veteran of 44 races has always looked more comfortable over 7 furlongs. Very little chance

EXEMPTION              Cuthbert1          8/1         T Liverson

4 YO COLT

Epsomdowns

Well bred speedy sort but he`s gonna run into  big trouble in this race. Probably not fast enough to head two well fans for the lead, and also a doubtful stayer. I would want a lot bigger than 8`s before I backed this one.

LUCKY`S GLORIOUS   Peachman        33/1          Y Rhino

4 YO COLT

Epsomdowns

Winner of 6 of his 12 races including a 9 furlong starter allowance 3 runs back, this ones down in my book as a darkhorse. He must improve and has a poor last run to get out of his system but it looks like his favoured trip. May not win but could snatch a surprise place.

ARABIAN SHOW     Cooldude             13/1           S Wylan

4 YO FILLIE

EAAA

This well bred filly may struggle against the boys. Probably racing over her best trip, the trouble being her best  speed ratings leave her a bit short of this standard. Cannot totally discount as she is guided by the master trainer.

ENOUGH SNATCH       Scootboy            11/1             A Breadfan

7 YO HORSE

EAAA

Nice to see a up and coming rookie trainer with an entry in the race. In fine form of late since being picked up in the claimers by his present trainer. May snatch some points for his res. Fingers crossed

SECOND ACT         MAGOO2912          14/1            S Ledwith

5 YO HORSE

Epsomdowns

Boasts 11 wins from 42 runs, he is probably going over his best trip. Flopped last time out and would have to improve on his lifetime best to figure here.

CODORNIU     Pogs                           6/1 f                J Plummer

4 YO COLT

EAAA

Early price favourite, this ones a very interesting runner. Placed in his last 6 without winning one . the consistent speed figures do instil a little hope. No doubt about the trip and laid out for this, he has gotta go close. Could have the race set up for him by the frontrunning Two Well Fans.

ANITA BLAKE          Bargainbin              14/1          I Swanny

4 YO FILLY

Epsomdowns

Filly not without some class, this girl would probably have a much better chance if this race was ran over 8 furlongs, where she recorded a 101 on her penultimate start. Up against it here taking on the boys, she may just be able to sneak a couple of points for her res.

GARDINER         Kingswood                 8/1        R Harzeim

6 YO HORSE

EAAA

Eyecatching jockey booking ,this one comes from `Sheikh Kev`s  conveyer belt of true bluebloods.  Ran 100  last time out in a 9 furlong allowance, here is one man not brave enough to say it aint gonna win. Could form part of a 1-2-3 for EAAA

I DIG YOU      Capotecat9                 24/1                D Mustaine

4 YO COLT

Epsomdowns

Consistant plodder, looks outclassed here.

MUSICALITY         Kevoman4      27/1                T Nugent.

4 YO COLT

EAAA

Here`s a rarity, a Kev runner thats an outsider. Don’t be fooled though, this ones still got a fair chance. Lightly raced and open to improvement  Musicality ran a 99 over 9.5 furlongs  two runs back. Cracking jockey booking , dismiss at your peril.

The Verdict

Well taking an impartial view of things it really should be a cakewalk for EAAA. Two Well  Fans may well set up the race for the fast finishers, and both Shark Bite and Codorniu are sure to be flying at the death. I will stick my neck out and predict an EAAA 1-2-3 with EAAA marching on to overall victory
