The anticipated start of The Corny Forest Memorial finialy came this Saturday in the sunny state of Florida. The race was for all horses over a mile and one quarter on the turf. Seven colts had drawn into the race. All horses looked calm and collected during the post parade to the starting gates, all horses loaded easily into the gates and the tense moments ticked by.

The gates finialy opened and the seven horses lept out onto the track with Cleric (GB) owned by super30 leading by a fairly large margin of two and one-fourth legths over the rest of the field. Yellow Demon trained by stormborn1 was trailing back in second, with Hawkfly’s Pharbat (IRE) owned by cupfly nipping at his heels in third. In fourth was Draginpu trained and owned by dormello followed by Kirby Is Fast owned by kirby66 . At the second call of the race, Cleric (GB) continued to increase his lead of the rest of the field, Yellow Demon held on for second, as had Hawkfly’s Pharbat (IRE) in third. Barb’s Rosebud had begun to make his move now and moved up into fifth, with Kirby Is Fast fading back into sixth.

At the next call, Cleric (GB) still continued to lead the field, though now only by one-fourth of a length, Yellow Demon continued on in second, with Barb’s Rosebud definitely moving now and now in third place. Hawkfly’s Pharbat (IRE) had now faded back into fifth.

At last they came to the wire, and it was Barb’s Rosebud crossing the wire first, a length ahead of the rest of the field. Yellow Demon had managed to hang on the entire race for second, and a late rally by Dragnipur earned him show honors.
