The HER TEMPEST Stakes
1. 98446 WESTERN CAT BG bobg9 3/1. A 3yo filly by Mountain Cat, is the co-favorite. She has tried this distance once on turf as a 2yo on a wet track and finished 3rd in a MSW. She has improved this year and I believe hast he highest SP of any in here with a 91. She’s there always at the finish, just not sure if she can win.
2. 99659 NONSTOP FLIGHT vampire3 7/2. A 3yo filly by Forty Niner is the 26th rank in this division. After beginning her career on dirt as a 2yo, she switched to turf and won 6 straight races; 4 of which were stakes. She tried 6f once in a G1 and did horrible, but that was on a wet track. Hasn’t run well in her last 3, but drops in level so I say probably top 4 finish.
3. 101958 BRAHMS DINER epcotlen2 5/1. A 3yo filly by Brahms. She has tried this distance once as a 2yo and finished 3rd in a MSW. She looked more a router last year than a sprinter but this year she has run two 90 SP’s, one in a sprint and other in a route race. If she could get a 90 SP here that may be good enough to win this. I could see her coming from behind to collect a check.
4. 18281 VICTORY FOR SJ sjmeola6 3/1. A 3yo filly by Victory Gallop is the other co-favorite in here. She’s tried this distance twice on turf and in here 9 career races these two were her worst races, one came on a wet track other was dry. She looks decent on turf last year but when she made the switch to dirt she was much better. So being the favorite I wouldn’t bet on her to win since she is more of a dirt horse.
5. 84031 LOST IN THE SMOG 4deven 7/2. A 3yo filly by Buddha. She has never tried this distance but has 6 turf sprint races. All of them were in stakes races and she won 1, which came on a wet track. She kind of runs about equally on dirt and turf and her highest turf Sp is a 86 finishing 4th. Probably finish 3rd of 4thf.
6. 103366 RESTART(IRE) emit 5/1. A 3yo filly by Fasliyev. She has tried this distance once, which came in her 2yo debut and she finished 4th; then went on to win he next start on turf at 7f. She ran in 1 sprint race this year and that was her last race where she finished 2nd in a 7f stakes with a career high 84 SP. Could collect a check but might have to improve her SP a little.
