The BEARLY IN A DIXIE Stakes

 

The girls take the dirt today in the Bearly In A Dixie Stakes hoping for a little extra money to add to their earnings chart. No rain in the forecast today. We have a field of ten ready to battle it out. Lets take a look at the competition. 

 

 

 

PP#1  Bastet trained by ovidius is at 10/1 and ridden by Q Simien.This brown filly is the daughter of Storm Cat. 10-2-3-1. She is ranked #62 in the dirt sprint division. She looks like she bumps in speed every other race. The best finish in her last five races was a 2nd in the Fit Memory Memorial running an 86. Today she is coming from a 4th place allowance finish running an 86.

 

PP#2 Dracula ll trained by vrcomp and ridden by L Wilson is coming out at 13/1. Royal Anthem sired this chestnut filly. 8-3-3-1. She looks like she has experience at the distance. She won the SusageP Special running an 84. She is ranked 170th in the dirt sprint division. She is coming from a 4th place finish in the Old Dealer Handicap running an 81.

 

PP#3 Black Strike trained by wiz2, ridden by I Mckellar and showing up at 5/1. This is a brown filly by Smart Strike. 10-5-3-0. She is ranked #22 in the dirt sprint division. She won the Cat Ginger Special running an 87 and is coming to this race from winning the Old Dealer Handicap running an 88. She looks promising today.

 

PP#4 Comprende trained by raceck is at 5/1 and ridden by V Thomas. Sired by El Corredor this brown filly is ranked 42nd in the dirt sprint division. 11-3-4-1. Her speed has been improving with every race. She is coming from a 2nd place finish in the Old Dealer Handicap running an 87. ¿Comprende?

 

PP#5 Mystery Bandit trained by laserbarn, ridden by R Piel and at odds of 6/1. This is a brown filly by Congaree.7-4-1-0. Her speed has shot up and this filly keeps getting faster and faster. A major contender today coming from an allowance win running a 94.

 

PP#6 Eurojet trained by seacadet is the favorite at 5/2 and ridden by P Wolff.This is a brown filly by Gone West. 8-2-3-1. She is ranked 83rd in the dirt sprint division. She has the speed to finish well and looking at her most recent races she likes to finish 2nd. She is coming from a 2nd place finish in the Mine Vote(IRE) Challenge running a 93. 

 

PP#7 Forest Nymph T trained by stakes, is ridden by P Jefferson and is at 15/1.This is a brown filly by Forestry. 10-3-0-3. Looks like this filly might get ganged up on by the other girls in this field. She is coming from a 3rd place finish in an allowance running a 77. She has been mostly running dirt routes. Her only hope is that the change in distance helps her perk up.

 

PP#8 Maybe Diva(IRE) trained by mgprice, ridden by A Lageman and at long odds of 18/1. This is a brown filly by Desert King(IRE). 10-2-2-3. Her speeds are choppy and she is not a reliable pick to win…..on the turf that is. She is coming back to the dirt for the first time since her 2 year old campaign. Looking at her on the dirt, she seemed to like it. She is coming to this race from a 5th place finish in the Bone of Pegasus Memorial running a 77. She is a definite longshot but she might surprise us.

 

PP#9 Apt To Fly trained by punter69 is 6/1 and ridden by K Murray.This is a brown filly by Aptitude. 8-4-0-0. She is ranked 78th in the dirt sprint division. This filly looked like she was loving the dirt when she was thrown on the turf which ended in a last place finish in the Hill Star Challenge. She won the Joves Trick Challenge running a 93 and the Quest Memorial running an 81. I think she is coming back to the brown earth with a smile.

 

PP#10 Jokes On Bbor(IRE) trained by killerz, is ridden by Bo Spitulski and is at 7/1.This is a brown filly by The Deputy(IRE). 10-3-1-4. She is ranked 91st in the dirt sprint division. She won the Bustfully Slide Special running an 87. Out of her last five races she has finished in the top three four times. Her last race was a 5th place finish in the Shin Hunt Special running an 83. I think this filly might have a chance today.
