Number one ranked Creepshow (IRE) does it again scoring his third grade I win in a row. This time it was not easy. A long shot named Good to be King kept close tabs on Creepshow (IRE) from the beginning. As the runners started the turn for home Creepshow led the way to the front with Good to be King glued to his side.
As these two entered the stretch they separated themselves from the field in a big way. Good to be King inched up and took a narrow lead just after entering the stretch. Creepshow did not immediately respond. As the runners continued Good to be King maintained a slight edge but as the runners were in the final yards Creepshow moved right on by Good to be King nailing him at the wire by a quarter length. The third place horse, The Understudy (IRE), finished nine lengths back.

Xtremely Gold continued her winning ways grabbing her second grade I win in a row. Fresh off a triumph in the Equinics Xtremely Gold was favored here. She did as she always does falling well back early just over twelve lengths back and moves up with a rush into contention. The Divorce only has one career win but she was full of run today and this made her second straight place in a grade I stakes.
Sacrilege stalked the early pace and got the early jump on the favorite taking the lead turning for home. That lead was not big enough as The Divorce and Xtremely Gold were coming strong. Xtremely Gold was just too good as she took the lead and pulled away to win by nearly two lengths. The Divorce was along for second and Sacrilege held third.
Race: 2797.5915 Crock of Gold – Grade I – $500,000
Track:
Restrictions: All horses, 3 years old and up
Distance: One mile on the Turf
Manifest Destiny lives up to his billing as the heavy favorite but was tested down the stretch. Manifest Destiny had a great trip not far off the pace stalking in about fifth position. As the runners rounded the turn for home Manifest Destiny moved by the other stalkers and took on the pace setter Niner Connection. Manifest Destiny moved by Niner Connection at the top of the stretch and started to separate himself from the field.
It was clear then that long shot Peintre Indyman was full of run and had a chance as he was closing quickly. At the end it really looked like Peintre Indyman had gotten his head down on the wire but the photo finish had Manifest Destiny holding on by the smallest of margins. Rahy Breaks Away (JPN) held third over another late closer Colonial Childers.
Race: 2797.0316 Long Live
Track:
Restrictions: Fillies and mares, 4 years old and up

Otto History used her speed to perfection wiring a really nice field of older fillies and mares. She is a very lightly raced mare with just six career starts now but has won five of those races and finished second the only time she did not win. At six career races she is already a grade II and grade I winner the future looks very bright for Otto history.
Otto jumped out of the gates early and shook clear early by two lengths. When asked she picked up the pace and put away most of the runners in this field before they had even entered the stretch. The Aus Boss (AUS) made the best attempt at getting to Otto. After stalking the early pace The Aus Boss was still four lengths back entering the stretch. She made a good run down the track but in the end was a half length short of the winner. The race favorite Wild Cat Tales took too long to get going but did make a nice closing move through the stretch to finish third a length and three quarters behind the winner.
Race: 2797.1616 The General Pals Sprint Show – Grade I – $500,000
Track:
Restrictions: All horses, 4 years old and up
Distance: Six and one half furlongs on the Turf
Kiki’s Solid Rock made them pay on the front end. There is nothing more dangerous than a front runner in good form. Kiki’s Solid Rock grabs his second front running win in a row. He was under pressure most of the way in this race but managed to break away from the field going into the stretch holding a two length lead. He needed every bit of that lead to hold off Once Haunted who had picked up the chase in second.
Once Haunted had stalked in sixth early on and moved up to second by the top of the stretch. He was all out in full flight but it was not enough to catch Kiki. Once Haunted finished second three quarters of length behind the winner. Otto O made a late bid from well back to get third over the race host General’s Chariot. The General just did not fire today.
Race: 2797.0615 Fantasia Handicap – Grade II – $250,000
Track:
Restrictions: Fillies and mares, 3 years old
Distance: A mile and one sixteenth on the Dirt
Fame of Fortune once again found herself behind more runners than usual but was up to the task in a big way this time. Sitting in tenth early Fame and Fortune was only about four and a half lengths off the pace. When asked she moved up and took control early in the stretch and pulled away to a decisive two and a half length winner.
Wondergirl Elf had stalked the early pace and was well placed in second at the top of the stretch but she was no match for the winner in the stretch. She did well out lasting a late closing kick from Hose Blower to earn the place. Race favorite Unbridled Mistress was fourth.
Race: 2797.0614
Track:
Restrictions: All horses, 3 years old
Distance: A mile and one eighth on the Dirt
Sagatector (FR) kept closing his way to victory. He was the second favorite coming into the race and managed to stay closer to the pace in this race than he usually does. That seemed to pay off as he moved up around traffic and was in contention at the top of the stretch. He was able to run down the stalking Rainbow Phyl at the wire winning by a quarter length.
Rainbow Phyl looked like he was on his way to victory until the last few strides. He stalked the early pace and took up the chase from second in the stretch. He took the lead but could not hold off Segatector. It was another two and a half lengths back to third place Romanector (IRE) who closed from last.
