The Danehill Reef Bonanza
In form and running very competative races in her recent outings paid off for maxie stables and Barb’s Jackie E today. “A good horse will always help you out” said struggling jockey N. Steele. “Maybe it’s a sign of better times” he added. The versatile running abilities of BJE paid dividends today as she raced in 4th place laying a couple lengths off of a moderate pace. When they straightened out in the stretch she was in full stride moving to the lead. By the 1/4 pole the race was hers to loose.
Running and following BJE were the eventual place and show finishers. Cap The Deputy ran in fifth place and made her move in unison with Lilian Baylis. “It was a strange race” pronounced jockey B. Langhorne. “We seemed to move in step with each other..no one was able to catch the other”
The time of the race was 1:35 even and the winner paid $17.10 and earned a nice 103 speed rating for her work.
