Royfly’s Dubai Slight Favorite
Royfly’s
Although post positions mean little or nothing at this distance, breaking from the inside is Elkano (5/2), a 5YO son of Beat Hollow. Conditioned by Zalamy, he has garnered 11 wins from 37 starts and is ranked # 42 in the long dirt division. His last win was four back in the Our Blues with a 103 speed figure.
Post two will hold Crass Rainbow (6/1), a 6 YO son of Rainbow Quest, trained by Splitenz. He has won seven of 51 starts but none in the last six months. His best recent efforts were a couple of seconds in the Butler Hustle and the Pond The Records. His age may be catching up to him and nagging aches and pains may see him better suited in a lower level.
Hsiao Ch’u (9/1) is trained by Cocketter and is a bay son of Charasmatic. He has won six of 27 and this former claimer seems to have come alive recently with three wins in his last eight. One of those was the Duke Stupid, two races back where he caught an off track. He will need to step up on Saturday.
Kasavage will saddle Kuantum Kuartz (5/1) a 5 YO son of Cozzene. The light grey horse has won six of 23 but has been in the money in 15 of 23. He has won four of his last eight including his last two. He might be the one to beat as he sure has consistency on his side and some good speed figures to boot.
Post five will hold Dynamaker (3/1) a 4 YO colt by Dynaformer who is bred to run all day. Although he hasn’t seen the winner’s circle recently he has some nice speed figures and could get the job done. Cardinals trains this big bay colt.
On the outside will be Royfly’s Dubai (2/1) a 4 YO son of Dubai Destination. Trained by Dowfly (one of The Fly Conglomerate) he has won 1/4 of his 16 starts including the Nicole’s Reality, three back. He is the only entry that has recently earned a triple digit speed figure which could give him the edge.
