Louis’s Birds Memorial looks to be going to a Krazy Momma
As 7 fillies and mares head to Delaware, it is difficult to tell whether the speed and youth of Krazy Momma or Quirt’s Hope will be victorious or the extremely lightly raced mare Giantiano will take the trophy back to Ireland, lets have a closer look.
KRAZY MOMMA(IRE) – Group and stakes winner will hold this filly in good stead for this race. As the name suggests, she really is crazy as she runs around the track leaving others for dead. She is the favourite here at 2/1 and likely to add to her impressive record.
ED’S TRUCK AZ – This mare has been given very generous odds and is likely to sink quicker than the titanic. The last time she had a decent break was nearly 10 starts ago and recent poor form suggests it’s time for a break.
QUIRT’S HOPE – Adopted a different racing style in her last outing which saw her just hold on for a nice win. She is well bred and capable of running some very quick races. At 3/1 she is my pick of the race and will be a very competitive 4 year old.
LA CIUDADELA(IRE) – The oldest mare in the race here looks better suited to something not so active like table tennis or maths. Although she has been a good performer and has odds of 9/1 she is just out of this class.
AFFIRMED THIEF – A change in running style saw her produce an excellent win in a very quick time in her last race. She will be looking to come from behind and really give this a shake.
VIKINGSHOLM – She produced a good run about 6 starts back but this is well beyond her. She is not quick enough and will find this a bit too tough. Good luck to her and I don’t want to break her heart or shatter her ego but I prefer others in this race.
GIANTIANO(IRE) – This mare has yet to finish out of the top 3 for her entire career so expect a top 3 finish for the punters. I would like to see her raced more often so she can develop a more consistent running style as she appears to be running unpredictably every 5 or so weeks and is very lightly raced for a 5 year old.
