He Came to Play

How tough is the Mountain?

The eighth- and seventh-place finishers in this year’s BB Classic come to Old Waterford for a non-graded stake, and all they can manage to do is round out the trifecta.

Chibound2’s I COME TO PLAY(IRE) ran down Binzaman’s SQUAL ME HALO, who came into the race ranked No. 6 in the classic division, to capture week 2734’s Flywaki Bonanza.

Fatattack’s YEAR OF THE VOTE, who entered the race ranked No. 11, could manage only a third-place finish, barely nosing out Ts1442’s DIAMOND HEAD for two points and the early lead in the West Virginia Stakes Competition. WASSIE’S RAINBOW G came flying late on the outside to threaten to score, but had to settle for fifth when the wire came too soon.
