Let the French revolution begin with Sagatector

I finally get a stakes run in which none of the horses are outclassed.  This extremely close but small field will set the standard for colts this year.  Lets have a closer look at the boys.

ERMINGTON DEST – I just can’t find anything that would suggest this colt would finish outside the top 3.  He just keeps improving with each run and has missed the placings just once in his 5 starts and that was his first run.  Pigeon8  should be very excited about his future and especially Ermington Dest’s life as a 3 year old.

SAGATECTOR(FR) – I wont lie that I don’t respect French horses on this game the slightest.  However, my opinion is to be changed now.  Sagatector went from being an average turf runner, to a bloody unreal dirt colt in just a couple of runs.  His last run was in a stakes as a 2 year old where he posted a 96 sp.  That would have to be among the quickest of the year.  Ruby9 will be looking to watch him fly from the back and extra distance will only help.  This colt is my pick of the race and I will definitely be following his career.

PARK THE DEPUTY – If the race wasn’t going to be exciting enough, now it is going to be even more explosive.  Park the deputy for slowracers will be looking to set a dangerously explosive pace.  2 wins from 2 runs has set the scene for this showdown and impressive breeding is leading to an incredible future for this young colt.

EMPIRE STATEMENT – At 4/1 this colt looks to be well suited if the pace is a bit slower which is unlikely.  He will be coming from the back and may upset the quicker horses if he can stay with Sagatector in the run home.  I like the Danehill influence in the breeding but still think Riverman is the most overrated sire on the game.

JOE’S BOY – In any other race, this colt might be fancied among the top hopes but as the outsider here at 10/1 he has nothing to lose against some very quick peers.  Just outside the top 3 will most likely be his absolute potential.

FOREVERMORE – The equal favourite here is hard to fault.  He hasn’t yet cracked a stakes win but has been the most consistently quickest runner of the field.  Again, we have another colt who will be storming home from the back once they hit the straight, will he be quick enough in his run home?
