Tess Carlisle vs. Track Beer Bites…..Who Will Win?
PA, Race ID 2720.1210 : The Slew In A Seattle Stakes Fillies and mares, 3 years old, A mile and one quarter on the Firm Turf Course, Purse : $55,000———–
Barb’s Return- 11/1- Numero uno is the 2 for 7 daughter of In The Wings(GB). She hasn’t won a race since October and her only Stakes race resulted in a 6 length loss and a second place finish. The horse is a closer who usually sits about 5 lengths off the lead at the half, and in most of her races she doesn’t make a gain in the final quarter mile, will have to have the best race of her entire life to win this against a pretty good field.
Bidasoa- 3/1- This 3 year old filly is not a very deep closer, but a closer nevertheless. She unlike Barb does gain ground in almost all of her races from the half point to the finish line. She is coming off of a one length allowance victory, but her stakes tries before that were embarrassing. The step back up in class to me looks like similar results are coming. If true, this horse is destined for failure here.
Enough Mon- 8/1- Daughter of Maria’s Mon, Dam Sire is Danzig, but although the nice combination of sires she will have a very tough time here. Last 5 SP’s have been 93,83,84,87,86 all in allowances. Horse might be coming from anywhere during the race, but anywhere towards the end for this horse will sadly not include the winner’s circle.
Tess Carlisle- 5/2- Winner of over 300 grand looks like the best filly in here. Speedball will go charging out of there and they probably won’t catch her on Saturday. Fast SP’s including two triple digit ones in past 4 starts. Squirrel might not be so happy anymore that she gave this horse to Rohan.
Track Beer Bites- 2/1- Favorite in the race is the best closer based on past results. Beery B though will have a tough time unless Tess Carlisle kills herself during the first half. Obviously this is the second best in the race if she is at her best.
