The Tailabone Bonanza Stakes

Just 4 horses have gathered for the big one in S.K this week. They will travel 12 furlongs on the dirt in search of their share of $60,000. All are in with a show and in a small field there will be no excuses to not having a good run.

Let’s take a look at how they shape up….

Shear Skill (IRE) has taken nicely to the guidance of new trainer andycap. This Rock Of Gibraltar 3 year old has thrived since changing to dirt and had a comfortable win last start where she toyed with her rivals. Steps up to stakes company here where she’s ranked outsider at 5/1 however as mentioned it is a small field and she will be given every chance.

Arabian Dancer  from the coolk barns is at 3/2 in latest markets and deservedly so being ranked 20 in this division. Not much to not like about this filly, great record on the surface, loves a bit of distance, is in good form and has a top jock on board. Definitely will take some beating and likely looking at the winner right here. Top pick.

Hardly Soaring is an experienced campaigner at 6 and with 55 runs to her name has been there and done that. Has been unlucky to have not placed in the top 3 at both of her last two, she will again be given a good run in this and should be in it for a long way. Can the grand ol gal make it win number 13 in what has been a great career?

Deviance is a 4 year old filly and is in as gooder form as any of them for this. From gate 4 she’ll be givena red hot chance and will prove one of the hardest to run down. She’s the favourite at $1.40 but my second pick. A great run last start where she flew for 2^nd, Deviance doesn’t mind the 12 furlong races and should she move to the back of this bunch come the weekend, expect a big late run. Every chance at this.
