Grand Tycoon Steams home
It was a Wet day in Louisiana for the running of the Main Race of the day with a Dirt tack rating of Sloppy with twelve runners in the Hoover Handicap over the 8.5f (1700m).
The big crowds was wet and cold but there was a massive roar from the crowd as the gates open, and as the races was on.
Squal Me Halo(#57742) and VINDIANA JONES(#95262) made the pace out front and those two made the pace with Canadian Tuxedo(#75997)running 2 lengths behind then Instant Classic(#92264) running in fourth spot, with a length behind 3rd and 3 lengths behind the leader but the pace was on with 10 lengths covering the field
As they come to the 2nd call, Vindiana Jones took the lead by a head with still Squal Me Halo in 2nd with Canadian Tuxedo in 3rd spot with some 3 and quarter lengths behind with Instant Classic in 3rd spot with 16 lengths covering the field.
But things changed as they are coming down to the start of the stretch with
Vindiana Jones kicked clear with a length and a half lead to Squal Me Halo then Instant Classic 2 lengths behind Squal me Halo and 3 and a half behind the leader with Grand Tycoon(#73155( in Fourth looking for a charge home with 4 and a half behind the leader.
And as the horses are tiring with the tough soft ground in the straight with Vindiana Jones in front but with Instant Classic in second with but Grand Tycoon Coming home and get up by a whooping 3 lengths to Vindiana Jones then a Quarter of a length to Instant Classic in third spot.
Grand Tycoon came from fourth on the start of the Stretch to make 7 and a half length to win is a fantastic effort and a 109 speed rating deserves every point of that.
Vindiana Jones was great in second spot but the tough Sloppy Dirt Track tired him out.
Instant classic was in third which this horse was near to the lead but never got going.
